Hey everyone,
I've been doing my best to try and read through the 140 odd pages in this thread but it's becoming really confusing so I'm hoping someone might be able to steer me in the right way. Basically I just got the emulator today after hearing I could use my copy of Twilight Princess at 1080p (the joy Big Grin) but I'm encountering some issues. Basically, I'm unable to run at fullspeed at the start of the game, let alone getting to the infamous Hyrule Field area, so I'm wondering if the rig isn't up to it. The specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2GHz Dual Core, comparable to original Core 2 Duo's)
9800GT (Yes overkill for the CPU but what the heck)
3GB DDR2 RAM

At the moment, upon entering Orodon Village (I can't remember the name), I drop to around 17 FPS, and it becomes pretty bad. I have a laptop which I can use from time to time (it's my brother's) and it has:
Core i5 480M
HD5650
4GB DDR3

So I'm guessing it'll run supremely better on his laptop, but I wanted to know if there was anything I could do on my side for my computer, particularly given that my screen is 22" as opposed to the puny 13" on the laptop. In terms of what I'm running emulator wise, it's pretty much the stock settings, except my render resolution is set to 3x native, and I've enabled the CFB to RAM (I think that's what it is) option aswell. I also noticed something about a patch around page 42, but I can't seem to find it anywhere and there was talk of compiling stuff and I don't want to break anything Tongue. I'm running the latest release of Dolphin (3.0).
Any help is much appreciated, and I hope I haven't forgotten anything Big Grin
Cheers

System Specifications( i know the my processor is poo, but i doubt its the cause of this issue )

GFX Card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz
OS: WinXP
Memory: 5GB RAM

No. I have a rig with even worse hardware than this (not the one in my sig) and the graphics are OK (but the game is unplayable because of the very low emu speed).
BTW HD2600 Pro is enough for Dolphin.

I supposed so but I thought 2600 would be weak I beg off... Wink

these are my settings and system specs. I have my drivers updated, and I'm pretty sure that my directX is updated. I'm using revision 7607, but I have the newer one and usually use it instead.
I get that insane slowdown everyone else gets in Hyrule field, but it seems people are starting to find solutions for it?
I'm just curious if there's anything else I can try other than changing settings.
Hi guys, i'd like to make an overclock to play Twilight princess on dolphin with a full 30 fps on all areas. I know that's possible with my processor, but only if i overclock it. My system specs are as follows:
Intel core i7 870 2.93 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 768mb
6GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel Whitesburg DP55WB Motherboard
The thing is, i don't know how much i should overclock, nor even which cooler i have. Is there any way to tell if it's good by checking temps? And how much should i overclock if my temps are ok? And mainly, how do i overclock? I overclock my GPU frequently, but i've never OC'd my CPU before. Any help would be appreciated.

To overclock your CPU, pretty sure you go into the BIOS and change the clock speed.

But i don't know anything about my cooler. I don't even know if i have one. And if that's the case , what's the best revision for TP?

You mean your heatsink? open your computer and check. The stock heatsink will work perfectly fine.
