@Garteal - I'd join Steam for games I like. That means JRPGs mostly and those games have a strong portable presence, a moderate console presence for this generation (it's just not like the SNES to PS2 heyday anymore...) and a weak PC presence. WRPGs turn me off (sorry Skyrim) and I haven't seen anything on Steam that really said "buy me". A couple of indie games, but I don't have the time to dabble with them. The MGS series, however, I would use Steam for, but I wouldn't say that'd make me use Steam more. If FF15 or KH3 or the next Tales games were on Steam, then we could start talking.
@AON3 - Congrats man. Let us know how things go from there
Luckily that's rapidly changing. The Japanese are pushing more games unto Steam and hopefully other (big) titles get a PC release as well. There are a couple games (not exclusive mind you, but remastered) on Steam that might interest you. The Ys games, Trials in the Sky and maybe Agarest. There are also a ton of visual novels and some (Japanese) hack n slash.
Final Fantasy XV and "Tales of" on PC... what a dream that would be.
Have you seen Metal Gear Rising? It's also on PC.

I just went to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth checked out (bottom left hurt like ass). It hurts even more now and my face is swollen.
Painkillers don't seem to help ;_;
I just had all four of mine pulled on Friday. Bottom two were stuck under some bone. It's really better to get them out as soon as you can if they hurt.
Man I must be lucky, only had to get two pulled, and they were already mostly out (had to pulled or they would kill the alignment of my teeth). Didn't even have to be put under, just numbed for a bit and went home and was fine in 3 days XD

Congrats man! Non-joint, right? That's awesome.
I got my AS results today, and I am pretty happy with those. Got a couple units with 100%, yay.

A-levels are what you take after college, before university.
To be precise, the A-level system consists of two sets of exams, usually taken after consecutive years (although some people do all of them in one year); the first one is called the AS levels, and the second one A2-levels (although sometimes shortened to just A-level, quite confusingly).
After your A2s, you go into your uni of choice - or not, depending on your results - and usually spend 3 or 4 years there, depending on whether you're going for a bachelor's or master's (unless you're doing medicine, which takes longer). That, or you crash and burn and become a truck driver or something.

When I bought my Playstation 3 in high school I needed a user name. So, my favorite games of all time, Kingdom Hearts, and then something else to make it unique.

Huh, Interesting. Anyway to retake the A-level test if you end up with the... Truck Driver option lol? XD

Kinda. I'm just playing War Thunder now, that's it. So yeah, I got boring.
btw: Congrats to KHg8m3r and Link_to_the_Past. You finally got a golden name. I remember the gold rush two years ago. Good old times.
@Garteal - Some of the Ys gamea genuinely interest me. I have been meaning to jump in. Any recommendations or thoughts? I'm more inclined to buy Trails in the Sky for the PSP, rip it and then, play it on PPSSPP though. I get the benefit of being able to play it in HD (and save states) and I can backport the saves to the PSP itself for portable play. I'm still in "wait" mode as far as Steam is concerned, but it definitely looks better compared to a year.ago.

It's with Natural Sciences (as Cambridge only do CS with 1/4 of the first year being from another subject). My offer was for with Maths, but I narrowly missed the STEP part of the offer, so they phoned me up at 8:15 yesterday morning, pretty much at the exact time my phone was supposed to wake me up with an alarm. I almost missed the call, as I swiped to stop the alarm, and left the phone on my bed for a while before I noticed there was a phone number at the top, so I'd obviously not done anything with the alarm.
You were looking at maybe Cambridge for CS for next year, weren't you? I wish you good luck, and congratulations on our AS results.
Well I am receiving a replacement for my motherboard. Hoping this works out and my current psu is fine so no issues there. Just hoping my i7 cpu made it after my psu "blew up" since my other hardware is fine but if not an i7 950 is only about $80 or $100 used, possibly cheaper depending on where I shop. Asus did speedy as **** shipping and wasn't supposed to receive the board until next week by the 18th. It took eight hours to make it from California to New Jersey so it was shipped by air freight and is out on the truck for delivery today three days short of the delivery date.
