I've had freshers' flu (what everyone seems to be calling the 18 simultaneous colds you get when introduced to a load of new people from all over the world all at once) and each time it starts to go away, a new set of slightly different symptoms develop. I was mostly better when I woke up this morning, and now I have a sore throat. It's by far not been the worst day, but I'm surprised I haven't defeated everything yet.

Just as long as you get over it and it doesn't develop into something else. I usually have soup or something spicy to clear my nasal passages for a bit, hot showers with steam helps. I still have a persistent cough after nearly a year due to my cold developing into something else. I hated having a cold and not being able to taste sweets or holiday meals.
Get better soon.
Edit: AON3, hope you feel better soon as well. That sounds like something I wouldn't want to catch. For me it's usually colds and mile stomach cramps and only once I had influenza. I think I have an exceptional immune system that wards off some of the more serious stuff. I'm also kind of a germaphobe and have a phobia of vomiting, hearing and see them vomiting. I haven't vomited in over 20 years and even though that isn't really a good thing I don't care lol.

I've been to two different universities now and that is definitely not normal.
@Xtreme2damax
Thanks. Yeah I periodically blast my nose with steam from food or showers. It has the upside of clearing my nose but the downside of making it feel dried out, inflamed, and sometimes painful.

Everyone else I know, even those going to other unis, knows what I'm talking about if I mention freshers' flu. Most people don't still have it, but I tend to have loads of lingering symptoms for weeks after a cold. It's not as bad as X2D seems to think it is - people only call it 'flu' because it's worse than a normal cold. It's mostly only bad enough to be inconvenient.

Get better man. Some wasabi paste works pretty well too. Make sure to eat something with it, it doesn't taste too great by itself in my experience.
Ill probably just be working in blender tonight anyways XD
That explains why I've never heard the term before but it does not explain why I've never seen or heard about comparable illnesses over here. While I'm sure an increased risk of rhinovirus infection is present when you move to a new school (as is the case when you move anywhere new) I have a hard time believing that it could be so severe or so common. Sure some people catch a cold for a few days, but a 90% infection rate with severe multiweek symptoms? That's crazy.
HALO! *squeals*
I love Halo games because of the expansive universe Bungie created (that is, everything in the games, books, comics). There was a lot of thought put into the world and attention to detail. Makes it more than just a game where you shoot aliens all the time, at least for me. That leaves a lot of material available for fan games to mess with, and it's good to be hopeful that Microsoft's "Game Content Usage Rules" will shield the project from any legal fire.
Now, if it would just be complete, or even a beta... As one who was involved with the fan-gaming community (Sonic if you must know) for a while, I remember the bane of every project was offering lots of pretty pictures of WIPs but never giving users something to play with (ever). It was quite rare to see a finished game, at least one of any value or interest. Hope this one does not die.
In before Microsoft or Bungie sends out a C&D. It's nice to see fan projects but it's worse seeing them go if they look good.

Were you contributing? Did anything ever get released? The only Sonic related fan project I remember (due to its exposure) is the Sonic Fanmade Remix in response to Segas sloppy Sonic 4 release.
