It wasn't the marines with grenades that caused problems for me with Keyes. He'd just charge straight into a crowd of enemies and be immediately slaughtered when passing through the bridge. The tactic that worked in the end was triggering the enemies to spawn, then running away, hoping he'd follow me, then turning around and killing everything before he caught up with me again. It meant I got no help from the marines, though.

Um, where did you hear that?
The release date is August 7th, and peeking at the stores just now show it is still August 7th.
I recently got a Xbox Game Pass with my Ryzen 5 3600 and I'm interested in playing the Master Chief Collection but I have never played any of the Halo games, so I was wondering if it is worthwhile to play the older Halo games without any nostalgia or should I just play Halo Reach?
If you've got the PC MCC, I'd either do them in release order or rerelease order, so 1, 2, 3 and 4 should be in order, but Reach can go at either end as it's a prequel and doesn't really involve the same characters (and if you absolutely had to, it could fit anywhere in the sequence). I don't think 5 is coming to the PC MCC until after 6 comes out (which is stupid and just means loads of people are going to wait for it to play 6). All the games hold up, and the plot makes more sense if you play them in order.
Ah thanks, than I will play them in order.

Replace "week" with "month" and blame my stupid phone. It's been showing up as August 7th on Steam for a while now, but the word-prediction on my device is trash sometimes
I forgot to mention I had my eye on Cris Tales. I'll probably be getting the Switch version instead of PC though.

Yeah, the old Captain has a tendency to suicide rush everything. I absolutely have to backtrack then pull ahead of everyone before the bridge. I always save the sniper rifle for the cloaked Elites, then pull back once the Grunts show up. I believe Keyes has actually killed me a few times, funnily enough.
I finished CrossCode! It's super super good! The story is excellent with some good twisty turns, the combat systems are great with a lot of mechanical depth and complexity to explore, and the puzzles are deliciously hard~ Fantastic game! And seriously, the puzzles are hella good, and hella hard. It's dedicated puzzle game levels of great puzzle design, in an RPG! So good.
I actually ended up being glad I played it on PC. So I chose to play it on the telly, so when I started the game I used my Xbox One S/X controller. However, I quickly found that lot of the game's puzzles were quite hard with the Xbox One Controller. Like, they require both extreme precision and high speed to perform, so it was definitely built more for a mouse than for clumsy dual analog. Not that it was unplayable, it was just not good. So I swapped in my steam controller, and once again, it performed amazingly well! I had super good accuracy and speed, and I was just immediately better at the game. So, I played it with the steam controller from then on, and it was great! Once again the steam controller comes to the rescue~ I'm so happy I own one! ...
or six, but that's just because of how good they are!
Anyway, I'm going to tide myself over with Burnout Paradise Remastered until Horizon Zero Dawn comes out on PC!
I told you that the game was outstanding

Is there any benefit to matching my display's resolution to my game's resolution, i have a 1080p display, but my GPU is a 940MX, which can at best get you 30fps at 720p. If i drop my display's resolution to 720p as well, will i see any difference, whether in performance or quality?

As far as I know, there's essentially no benefit.
