Here's some random RE6 perspective that some people may want to watch. Feel free to watch it and comment about it if you like. The dude in the video is funny at times and It's worth a watch.

I forgot to mention that I expect NV to watch that video since he's one of the main guys around here who forms opinions about games without playing them, he may as well form an opinion around what this guy says.

But you haven't played it either! How can you criticize me for that when you keep posting videos like this one and talking about how much you're looking forward to the pc version?

I admire you for having the balls to force my hand like that but no matter how many positive reviews you mange to find the general consensus among both critics and fans is that it's garbage: http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/resident-evil-6

I'm not going to spend $60 of my own money just to prove to you that I would hate it when I can tell pretty easily that I would hate it just by looking at gameplay videos. People who think video games need to turn into poorly written/designed hollywood action movies that throw quick time events at you just to remind you that it's a video game need to find another hobby in my opinion. They are dragging the rest of us down with them. I don't know what's more disgraceful, the fact that so many video games have become this, or that their are people who actually seem to somehow genuinely enjoy this, buy games like this, and want them to make more.

From what I can tell the fans generally hate it because they were expecting survival horror and instead got another generic action shooter. Quite frankly I would be pissed too. I hate when franchises do that. I know what I like. When I enjoy a game I tend to buy the sequel because I expect a similar experience. The reason I generally buy sequels is because I liked the traits that the previous games had, so I want to see them further refined and built upon. So I get pretty pissed when the developers suddenly decide that their genre isn't popular enough so they switch to a more popular one. Thus leaving the fans out to dry. Like bioware's sudden transition from rpg to third person shooter. I liked your rpg mechanics! That's why I played your games! This is the same thing, only for resident evil fans. I didn't play resident evil growing up because I never enjoyed survival horror. But I can still feel their pain, if I were a resident evil fan I would be pretty pissed too. Of course I happen to hate this style of game a lot more that survival horror so even if I had played them I would have probably enjoyed the old ones a lot more. Fans should be sending the message to capcom that this is wrong and that they should never do it again by not buying the game. But unfortunately they will probably get away with it and a lot of the desperate fans will not be able to exercise the self-control necessary to not buy it. Not to mention their big marketing campaign will bring in a lot of susceptible people that don't know anything about resident evil. If you do go ahead and buy it please realize what you are supporting. You are basically telling capcom that you want this to be the future of the franchise. If you enjoyed the old titles and want to see more games like them you probably should not do that, especially with so few good survival horror games left. Niche genres need to be supported, not abandoned. One of the reasons why I love video games is their variety/uniqueness. Yet I see a driving force towards "sameness" in the market that is destroying that. Capcom basically decided that to make more money they should try to copy more popular games instead of refining what they already had. Why would I want to play this game over any of the other action shooters (many of which look considerably better refined)? That question is why I like variety. I said the same thing after BF3 turned the BF franchise into a CoD style action shooter. I buy video games because they either offer me something that others don't or because they do it better.

As for your posted video review he never really says it's good, he just keeps stressing that it's "not terrible". He even says that you should probably wait for a price drop which implies that he didn't think it was great overall. He doesn't give a clear overall verdict but I get the impression that he thinks it's "ok". If I played that game I honestly might be inclined to agree with that (although a lot of the gameplay that I have seen is mind bogglingly awful). But considering how many good/great/amazing games that are released every year I could never see myself blowing $30-60 on an "ok" game. Especially when it supports this kind of genre abandonment. Everything else that the guy said has already been said a million times and is not worth commenting on since it has nothing to do with how enjoyable the game is. He's right about the similar genre of RE5 and RE6. RE fans had the same reaction to RE5. In fact most of my friends were big RE fans back in the day and none of them liked RE5. RE5 already scared off a lot of the old RE fans, otherwise the outcry would have been much bigger. Now can you imagine what would happen if valve released a new counter strike game with iron sights and perks? I know I sure as hell wouldn't buy it.

TL: DR: I hate third person action shooters with gameplay revolving around "set pieces". I hate uninterpretable cutscenes. I hate QTE. So why would I enjoy a game with these things in it? Why would I need to buy a game to point out the obvious (that it follows an easily recognizable design pattern repeated by dozens of developers over the last decade and that the public and critics generally dislike it)? I fail to see what's wrong with me pointing these things out even if I have not played the game.

I've never claimed the game to be good or bad, just that the people (or one main site) that claim that the game is absolutely horrible seem to be out of their minds. I am looking forward to this game as a Resident Evil fan who for the most part enjoyed RE5 and RE4 and as someone who knows what kind of game I'm buying based on the previous installments.

That's one of the main issues I have with these reviews. People are comparing the game to something that it used to be when they should be taking the game for what it is and giving a review based on that. Resident Evil 5 was not survival horror, anyone expecting true survival horror out of RE6 after seeing RE5 is foolish.

Again, I haven't played RE6 so I don't know how good it is, but I do think that the old style Resident Evil with fixed camera angles and tank controls and limited movement is not going to work anymore and be a fun game to play. They've already made and remade some of the old style RE games and it's just about enough of that style. They just can't do anything new with the game if they continue down that path. Going in a room, finding an object and traveling half-way across the game to use that item is not fun anymore.

That was the point of the video, that it wasn't as horrible as what the worst of the worst reviewers claimed that it was. I still think that he mostly stressed that people should wait for the price drop and why he didn't exactly say that it was a good game was because most people are still looking for the old style RE games and RE isn't that game anymore. For the people who can accept that the game has gone in a different direction, they probably will find it enjoyable.

As far as you go, you don't need to buy the game to prove anything to me, but I wouldn't have any issues with you saying that, hey, "I played the game and I didn't like it". At least that would be your opinion based on your experiences and I could live with that.

Has any one tried PPSSPP Emulator yet ?
I heard it could run some PSP games and it's written in C++ which is much faster than Java JPCSP
It even has a wiki

I have. It's pretty fast considering it doesn't even have a jit yet. I run the android version on my phone but since I have some backed up psp games(hacked psp, they're legal) I've been testing it alot. Apparentally the next version brings speed where this one brought accuracy. I can't wait
