He got cross because other high ranking (by amount of control, not post count) people got cross at him. I don't know what all the getting cross was for, and who did what, but it was a chain reaction of crossness that caused him to go.

No. I tried all of the 3D pokemon games on the N64 and GC, they sucked. It ruins the immersive atmosphere and "magic" of the gameworld.
D: NV, you just murdered my childhood.
Now please excuse me while I remember all the good times I had playing these games.
Maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia idk...
Has anyone tried pokemon 3D?

Oh I see. That's sad to hear actually
It feels like a part of the forum is missing with him gone.
As for Pokémon though which I see you talk about, I only play Pokémon Blue on Game Boy.
I remember sending in my cart to Nintendo in order to get Mew.
Then I found out about the trick to catch Mew via a long series of events. I remember taping it on a VHS cassette when I did it on Super Game Boy and brought it in to Club Nintendo. They watched it at a party they had. Kinda cool, because they said Mew could only be obtained via sending it in.
Sweet memories of times that no longer exists.
Guys, what is kickstarter?
I think you make a page on it and say "I want to make a company that makes product x". If people think that this is something they want to buy they'll give/loan you some cash to set up the company and manufacturing.
Welcome back Gabriel!
Good to see you back here.
How was your 'vacation'?

Only played Pokemon Stadium on the N64 and it was awesome. Why do you hate the game for something that was clearly not the intention of the game?
The game is meant to be a party game of some sort. Battle against CPU/friends and play the fun party games.
It's not meant to be the traditional Pokemon game where you travel the magic game world to train your Pokemons to defeat the Gyms.

Get rid of the company part, you don't need to have a company or even be employed to create a kickstarter project.

Get rid of the loan, company, and manufacturing parts. Not everything is manufactured. And there is no loaning, once they have your money it's theirs to do whatever they want with.
But yes you have the gist of it. A project needs to have a goal (an amount of money that they need), a deadline (a date by which the funding goal must be reached), different pledge levels ($10, $25, $50, etc.), and different rewards for each pledge level.
Backers (people who support the project) select a pledge level if they are interested in seeing the project completed. If the project meets the funding goal by the deadline it gets funded and all of the backers are charged however much they pledged. If the project doesn't meet the goal by the deadline then nobody is charged any money.
When the project goes over its funding goal before the deadline is reached they create "stretch goals" which are higher goals that replace the original goal and promise to add some extra stuff to the project if those goals are met.
This is an example of a kickstarter project:

True. But when I imagine a traditional pokemon game with similar 3D graphics I can't help but dislike the idea due to my experiences with those games.

That's easy to understand, especially since Nintendo really pushed Pokemon as a 2D series for most of its lifespan. The Stadium games, Colleseum, and Battle Rev. games didn't have the scope of the handheld titles aside from battling, obviously. XD tried to be that 3D Pokemon game, but I don't recall it ever catching on in comparison to any of the handheld releases (though my sis and I had fun playing it a bit).
Kinda reminds me of Sonic games. His transition to 3D was a long and painful process, with many false starts (Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Xtreme, even the brief stint from Sonic Jam). Don't get me wrong, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were fun games for fans way back when, but they were still flawed games. Decent 3D Sonic games eluded gamers for so long, some of us began to wonder if Sonic would ever look, act, and play right as anything but a 2D game. Sonic seems to have gotten on his feet so-to-speak, given the reception of Sonic Colors (I refuse to acknowledge that some people thought his comeback came around the time of Sonic Unleashed...) Anyway, 2D-3D is a tricky thing. Sometimes it goes right (Mario, Zelda, Metroid) but it can get quite messy.
Thanks, i guessed as much from where i heard it referenced, but it seems to me the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, i for one will probably never use it.
