There aren't really any good wrappers in existence (in terms of broad performance). I am skeptical that it is even possible until someone does it.

lolwut. Fine roughly 2.3 years if you want to be exact. Still a long time is my point. How do they even select a point to start the feature freeze? It seems like that would be totally arbitrary.

Since those are compiled ahead of time, it's simply like Valve's toGL. The difference is that ToGL was actually written (or at least rewritten) for Linux. They actually put effort into it, where as Feral Interactive just slaps the wrapper on it and stop caring (maybe they work around graphical bugs, that's it).
Feral aren't even trying to correctly translate DX11 using modern OpenGL extensions, pretty much because OSX is holding them back.

I believe they wanted to start it for the new year.
I wish a happy new year to everyone
Just some hours away from being an adult... wow.
Congrats you're now one of us.
Wait, worst "decision"? Don't tell me you guys got a choice? No one informed me you had a choice...
I feel short-changed now.
