Surprisingly and to their credit they gave windows 10 for free to owners of previous windows versions.

Yeah and they are collecting your information and selling it as compensation.

I honestly hate when Linux fanboys say this. Do you seriously think that companies like mozilla don't do the same thing? It happens all the time, and even though its bad, it isn't gonna stop anytime soon.
everyone knows mozilla does it, nobody actually likes mozilla. People who use linux for freedom and go for firefox as their browser 90% of the time have no idea what they're doing.
The tracking stuff is just the same diagnostics that've been sent back since XP, plus some extra ad tracking if you don't opt out. The really bad stuff like the always-on keylogger and super-frequent phoning home were just in the beta, and it did say so in big letters, and specifically recommended that you didn't deal with private information during that period.

^This. I'm so sick of people freaking out about this stuff without actually reading the EULA.
@piccolo289
He's not a linux fanboy and your point is irrelevant either way since lots of windows users use firefox and lots of linux users don't.

Probably shouldve said this but i never said he was a fanboy, even though it kinda came off that way. But that is what most linux fanboys say in defense of using their OS. Not that i have a problem with that.

These two statements are contradictory.
I meant not that i have a problem with linux. I am terrible at stating my ideas on the internet
