I know this is a little too Dolphin-related for the random thread, but I actually got around to using Dolphin today. I was playing 4-player splitscreen in the PAL version of MarioKart Wii, with basically the default settings, on the OpenGL backend, but with EFBScale forced via ini to 9 for 6x IR. This was in 4.0-5283. After about 4 races (maybe more or less, but it kept happening, and only happened in menus) I'd get a panic handler saying that something had exceeded 2GB, and then several more with some kind of complaint about (probably) illegal memory addresses. Is this a known bug, was I doing something silly, or do I need to collect some proper data for a bug report?
Anyone here try Star Citizen yet?

No it's not, no one needs Windows 98 today at least not for old DOS games.
Windows 98 is dead for a reason and it's a crash fest for the most part.
From my own experience, Windows 95 and Windows 98 sucked. Windows 98 SE was OK but still crashed a lot.
Windows 2000 Professional started out to be quite good, but Windows ME sucked hard.
Windows got good again with Windows XP and the rest is history.
And whatever OS you are running today is your own choice.

Precisely!

Um... You kind of have your history wrong. For the last half of the 90s, Windows products were split, with the older
Windows 9x kernel for consumers and the newer
Windows NT kernel for Professional users. Windows ME was based on 95 and 98, and the final version of the Windows 9x kernel. Windows 2000 (there was no "pro", it was THE professional edition of windows!) was built from NT4.
When Windows XP came out, they unified consumer and professional versions into a single operating system, built from the NT kernel. It was a good call too! NT was newer, better, and faster, and natively built for 32bit support instead of being a
16bit OS with 32bit compatibility hybrid ala the Windows 9x kernel.

Seems like Windows 2000 Professional to me?
And yes I knew about the whole 9x and NT thing, I wasn't born yesterday....

Or any media capabilities outside of hulu Netflix or amazon and music/movies now. Guess it does have plex now but that's not free.
I also bought a smart TV but i'm still searching for a media server that can transcode Hi10 videos, i was using Playstation media server on my ps3 and it worked perfectly, it has kinks on the smart tv

vmware is pretty good now with it's emulated gpu, does direct3d quite well, not great on all games but i've played shadows of the empire via xp on it with a wrapper and it was near fullspeed.

Exactly that.
Back to Win98, the reason I was forced to VM it was because I didn't just need one program to work, I needed a program to work with a specific peripheral that only had fully working 9x kernel drivers. That couldn't have been done with anything less than a VM, and seeing as ME was generally considered worse than 98, 98 was what I used.

I'm wondering what the bare minimum or recommended amount of data in Gigabytes to play TF2 that will last the entire month? I will only be using the device for low latency applications such as online multiplayer, Skype and some game streaming. Although I'm considering streaming a game I'm still debating on that, it will mostly be for TF2 or other online multiplayer/co-op games.
Also, if anyone wants to stream footage of a game I'm playing via Steam broadcasting now or next month to see how it works feel free to as I have broadcasting open to all friends.
