Lol, it was clear as day that neobrain stole OldNames identity.
How did you guys not notice his sig?
You should write more blogs neobrain.
No more Lightning, Zee?
What is your new avatar from?
Quote: Anybody know an easy way to get a page's author so i can use their name for referencing in my work.
What do you mean? From the internet?
There's no way obviously if they have not stated their name(s) on the the page.
I'll put her back later, just trying to create a sig.
The referencing i was talking about was like if i read an article on wiki, there would be a certain paragraph that i would like to know exactly who wrote it.
EDIT: New siggy is up, let me know if its too big fellas, the avatar is Ryougi Shiki from the Kara no Kyoukai movies franchise, okay, now to put back my lightning
EDIT2: About referencing, we are asked to use APA style citation, anyways i got some very useful info from a site but unfortunately the poster name was an alias. Something like NaturalViolence explaining something, if i used it in my work and wanted to cite him, would it be okay to write his name as NaturalViolence? assuming i had no idea what his real name was or do i have to find out his real name?
Well, little bit too big your sig
Okay, i'll reduce it then........
EDIT: What about now? this is my 1st time editing pics and i gotta say its kinda fun
EDIT 2: I can hardly see my specs, although its not something i want people seeing anyways
EDIT 3: Oh crap, i was so absorbed in the pics and forgot i was suppose to submit a chapter of my thesis by 2, its like 12 mins late now, gotta!go!fast ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu (hope i got that right) AnyOldName3

EDIT 4: Seems i cant bold the minus sign, oh well
Lol, cute sig attempt.
I personally don't mind that size, but I can understand that people with smaller screens might have issues with it being too big in height.

Afaik, you're allowed to use nicknames if the author submitted his work with that name.
Or you could simply reference the whole page as such:
1. General AA. (2012). Retrieved October 24, 2012, from http://naturalviolence.webs.com/generalaa.htm

Yeah, you could use his nick. But I'm sure that if you ask him really politely, he'll tell you his name.

Lol, don't scale down the whole picture. Scale down the background and adjust the text accordingly to fit.
Okay, thanks for the info, i know his real name btw (steam) i actually browsed through most of all of your steam accounts but it said i needed a coupon before i could send friend requests.
You must own a game in order to have friends :3

Quote:Fwiw, you should do that stuff more often. I (<-- !) guess there's one or two things I can still learn when writing in English
For the record your English isn't bad at all, it's very easy to understand. It just has a unique flavor to it. Everyone has a different vocabulary of common words that they use and a different style when it comes to their sentence structure. Anybody that has read enough of my posts should be able to tell when something was written by me even without looking at my name, avatar, signature, etc. Your text has a very pleasant tone to it, not harsh or annoying at all. You can tell that you're not angry or annoyed. "Friendly and inviting" is how I would describe it. You neglect certain words but the sentences still make sense and have a good flow to them. You don't misspell words very often but you do use a lot of "internet language" like "fwiw", "lawl", and "meh". I don't mind either of those things as neither one of them makes me annoyed when reading your text.
You know how when you read a novel you quickly develop a unique voice in your head for each character that you hear when you're reading their lines? I don't know about other people here but I do the same thing on the forums. Each of you has a unique voice in my head. So when I was reading a post by AnyOldName3 and heard Neobrain's "voice" in my head I immediately knew you were a fake.
For the record you would make a terrible spy.
@Zee530
I cannot read your signature at all. The font is small, jagged, and the same color as the background.
Also if you were to quote me on something I would prefer it if you used my real name.
Quote:How did you guys not notice his sig?
I did. But I noticed the speech patterns (technically text patterns) first.
Quote:You should write more blogs neobrain.
Agreed. Fuck physics go write some more about graphics neobrain.

I tell everyone my real name. I don't understand why so many people on the internet care that much about giving away basic information if they've done nothing wrong. Unless the other person is a serial killer I don't see the harm in it.

Please tell me it's hat simulator 2012 (also called team fortress 2).
@Garteal
Holy crap that citation looks good! Did you use a web application for that?
Wow, this thread always has the latest post on offtopic...
