Soooo, i presses shift+delete on one of my files today and on closer inspection i find out i deleted the wrong file, i've tried previous version in folder properties, tune up undelete and recover my files, all came to naught, i swear it hasnt been 5 minutes since i deleted, can someone recommend any good recovery tool or is there a way to roll back my files to 10 minutes ago?
afaik there's a thing called "Recycle bin" in windows
EDIT: Wait, didn't see you were using Shift + Delete
I hate the 'hang on, I needed that file' feeling that comes after using shift-delete, even when I didn't need the file.
Anyway, I know that law enforcement generally have software which bypasses the disk's formatting, and literally reads what data is there, so can recover deleted files easily. Basically, go into a police station, and say that you found child porn on your computer, but shift-deleted it, so have no evidence. They'll then confiscate the HDD, and recover deleted files, and you can ask for your lost file back. The only downside is that you'll either be arrested for child porn charges, or for wasting police time.
Go search on CNet for a program that does this; they had an article on it a while ago and it works apparently.
I've tried recuva before and i didnt like it, i'm trying one called r-undelete, although its asking for money its still searching, i'll probably just search for the file online again, it was 400mb or so.

Really? After how many years on an emulation forum?
