I've already reached that stage of my life where my mother begins half of all conversations with me with "why don't you have a wife/children yet?". Don't know why your post suddenly reminded me of that fact. They tell you to avoid distractions/socializing through gradeschool and college and as soon as you graduate suddenly you need to find a wife.
Haha, my mom's just the same. She keeps asking me when I'm going to get married, despite the (shocking?) fact that I've never had a girlfriend (or a boyfriend, or anyone like that). I tell her I'm a soloist, but I don't think she understands that some people really don't need to be in a relationship to be happy. I'm not anti-social, I just can't see myself ever falling in love and sharing my life with anyone outside of friends. I think she just wants grandkids, tbh :p

So in the end I just ask for money on my bday/christmas. My sister always ignores this and comes up with gifts so creative and smart that I can't help but not feel even slightly disappointed.
I know that feeling. It's even worse when you have a decent job and can afford such things easily yourself. I'd feel guilty about asking anyone in my family to shell out $300 for my little project (though they could have bought the RAM and the SSD for me, but I don't want to wait two more weeks
) when it's no big deal for me to make the purchase with my own money. Guess the older you get, the more expensive your hobbies get as well.

Pretty much. Both me and my sister have graduated now. The last time I called my sis she said mom was doing it to her too. I'm still working on my second degree though so I'm not fully done with school yet. Things are going to be really slow this year until the program I want to get into starts up. Then things are going to get crazy starting next fall. So if I disappear suddenly, that's why.
I've noticed a pattern here. When my sister left for college my mom adopted some cats. Then when I left she adopted some dogs. Now she wants grandkids. Clearly there is a need to mother something that she needs filled. A hole that we left in her when we left.
You know a few months back we were all having dinner together at a restaurant (I can't remember what the occasion was) and my mom was basically trying to get me to hit on the waitress.....in front of the rest of my family at dinner. It was such a wtf moment for me. "She seems nice". That statement leaves me baffled considering she knows absolutely nothing about this random woman other than that clearly she has a functioning womb capable of bearing grandchildren. This stuff annoys me more than it should. I suppose I shouldn't be so hard on her. She comes from a classic catholic Italian family so getting married and having lots of kids after college I guess is part of their culture.

Oh god yes. I have to hold back buying stuff that's on sale sometimes in order to save something to buy around my birthday/holidays to reward myself with. First world problems.
So, is there any audio format that natively supports loop points, that way I can rip video game music and play them back looped? Apparently, FLAC supports them, but I don't know how to add them. Also, are there any programs that are built for this?
WAVE can, but most players ignore them.
The rest of you need to start breeding its not to late to stop

She's been "away" for a while though (i.e. more than a couple of days). Just noticed?
I'm going to go away soon too. I mean, everyone's doing it these days :3
Rumor has it they're only marked as Away because they don't want to get PMs by idiots.

Given that neobrain used to have a notable part of his signature specifically asking for people not PM him with stupid questions, that seems pretty likely. It's also easier than letting your PM box get full (hence blocking all incoming PMs anyway) :p
But still, I want to do it too since everyone else is
