Personally, I think the N64 has a fantastic catalog, and I certainly wouldn't have wanted Nintendo to not make those games simply because 3D wasn't very good at the time!
Spoiler:
Speaking of which, random factoid time! The Saturn and the PS1 were 2D consoles, with 3D added on. They worked much like an SNES+SuperFX, with 3D vertex data being fed into 2D graphics systems for texturing and rendering. The PS1 was built with all of this in mind, but the Saturn was just an arcade 2D console, so they were quite surprised at all of this 3D stuff! So SEGA just decided to double the chips in the thing to give it enough power to perform 3D, and well, that made it super hard to work with!
So really, no one was quite sure about this whole 3D thing. The N64 was the only of the big three of the 5th gen that was a true 3D first console, where games were textured and rendered entirely in the 3D components. That style of design works well in 3D and can handle 2D quite fine (it's a lot easier to remove an axis than to add one!), so it's been adopted by everything since.
I didn't say the games weren't good, I just said they didn't LOOK good. Of course many of them are classics with excellent gameplay, story, mechanics, etc. But then again, hindsight is 20/20, and they probably looked nicer (relatively speaking) at the time.

well boys...I do not know where to post it(as thread) ..so I post it here
just finished Muramasa: The Demon Blade (wii game) on Shigurui mode (hardcore mode)
take 6 months real time (34 hours in game total) screen-proof http://imgur.com/a/l3YRp
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not... I know plenty of people that use "guys" or "boys" as a general all-inclusive term, and some of them are, indeed, girls. There's no need to go crazy here.

Hmm... Looking at it after the fact, the spoiler is so plain as to be really serious, which is definitely not what I intended. I don't think the spoiler contains anything mean or bad, and still stand by that assuming the gender of the audience when talking in a group setting like this is not good, but if I could do it over I would definitely phrase it differently.
Like, I completely understand why boys tend to do this; culture pushes this on people, and as humans we are programmed to repeat the culture around us. When someone repeats it they aren't trying to exclude, it is just natural cultural repetition, and they just don't think about it! But this is also why it's so important to point this out, because it is exclusionary and it does affect people, and how would they learn if no one points it out? Unfortunately with how I phrased the spoiler it kind of comes out as though I'm being judgmental of Danil and not just trying to inform, and that's a definite mistake on my part.

That said... this is bad. This oozes privilege, as though the mere pointing out some of the bad things in our culture is "crazy" or "extreme", and that the only "reasonable" thing to do is to just accept the flaws of culture and never speak out. What Danil did is just a normal mistake, but how that was phrased defends the bad things in our culture against criticism. Watch your phrasing too, Kurausukun!

I don't think that was what they meant. I agree with you for the most part, but I don't think that was the problem. Danil was probably expecting a reply related to their video, but instead received a nitpick in their writing. As you can see we've spiraled off topic, we were talking about muramasa and now we're having a debate about semantics. I think that is what they're trying to point out.
