I don't particularly mind that the new games aren't for the Switch--as portable as the Switch is, it doesn't fit in my pocket and its battery life is not the greatest, so it's not always easy to take out with me, but my 3DS fits in my pocket, so I can bring it pretty much anywhere. I'm not saying I want the 3DS to die, although I do wish they would push for the New 3DS a little more so that we can benefit from the extra power. I think if they rewrote the Sun/Moon engine with the N3DS in mind, they'd be able to eliminate a lot of the lag, even though it seems to me that most of it is caused by the GPU, not the CPU.
Anyway, like I said, the only real takeaway from this is NO CRYSTAL VERSION ON VC BOYCOTT NINTENDO

Just get a
purse like mine! It can hold my switch with ease. :3
Rant time!
>Well I can't really justify $350 on a switch just to play zelda (realistically $500 for all the accessories I would want + the game)

Seriously nintendo? I swear they've done everything in their power the last 10 years to try to make sure that I never buy one of their products again. In the entire history of video game consoles I have never seen a console that did not go down in price at all through it's entire lifespan. The wiiU was overpriced when it launched and now the price is just some sort of cruel joke.
@Kurausukun - Yeah, I'm not bummed about the Switch's library. I don't even own a Switch yet, but I think Nintendo and 3rd parties did good. Personally, I believe It's too early to complain about a drought or that the 3DS is still a focus for the company. I was rooting for Pokemon Stars, but oh well. More Sun and Moon is cool.
Shame more games haven't seen extra performance stuff unlocked for the N3DS/N2DS. I'm playing Dragon Quest 7 now, and that drops frames in battles too (haven't tested on a New 3DS/2DS though, don't have one). I think most devs just don't care to take advantage of that. It's just like the DSi; it had way more horsepower on one of its CPUs, but no one used it to push NDS games as far as I know. Maybe a few obscure DSiware stuff though.

That's surprising.Â
I have a Wii U though but the Switch still catches my eye. Just want to make sure that only Mario is not the reason I'd buy a Switch lol.Â
While I was a little disappointed that Sun/Moon didn't make the jump to the Switch, I am excited for Pokken Tournament DX because I didn't own a Wii U and wanted to play it. Now i can, so I'm slightly appeased.
In other news, I just finished the last exam of my degree and am getting suitably drunk.
