There are 3 service providers in Japan : DoCoMo , Softbank , AU (Just like AT&T , Verizon in US)
The one who actually made it is NEC (Casio)
Japan never sell phones out of the country
. Only DoCoMo's phones are unlockable (can use AT&T or Verizon or whatever)
Unlock fees : around 3000 yen ~ 30 USD (In DoCoMo Shop)
NEC Medias W N-05E : 45500 yen ~ 455USD without contract
Shipping cost :
+to US : 30 -> 50USD via airmail
+Japan only : 315 yen ~ 3.15USD

Btw , GeForce ShadowPlay Beta Launching October 28th ! (only 5% performance hit unlike "Craps" . I mean Fraps)
The prices are still way too much IMO for a phone. That looks pretty nice, haven't checked the specs though.
And yes, Shadowplay looked pretty good, so did G-Sync... NVIDIA did a pretty decent presentation today. (More stuff coming at the 21st. Hopefully some price cuts)
More in the
hardware thread.
Good to be back, doubt anyone noticed i was gone , sucks that the green arrow disappears if you haven't viewed a thread in a while, so as of now i'm unable to pin point the last post i viewed in any of my subscribed threads.
Welcome back and yes, I've noticed your absence. I use the "View new posts" link at the top of the page to view the posts I haven't seen. It should show you everything you haven't seen since your absence.
These are a bunch of random stuff I made using the Quake 3/Doom 3 Engine.
This was a planned mod to redo all the Wolf3D levels , I did about 10 Levels but my hard drive
was accidentally formatted and lost it all.
This is my attempt at porting a Quake 1 map into Doom 3
This is actually a version of my Wolf3D Mod put using D3 Textures and learning about Lighting.
This is a Super Mario Map (originally for Quake 3) but I ported to ET, really Fun Map to play
That ET one is amazing. Did you ever upload that one anywhere?
The RMA of the store i bought my Hd7970 Ghz from is amazing. They just ordered a new one and told me to keep the broken one until it arrives for me to pick it up. Note that they didn't even charge me anything.
Also, i found out that ASUS keeps 4 of the 12 RAM chips totally uncovered by any heatspreaders, I might put some low profile heatspreaders onto them if it happens again. Seeing as the VRAM is already overclocked this is pretty stupid design.
