By eating the fat people. In America this will be quite easy. They're everywhere and easy to hunt, just camp out by the nearest mcdonalds and cook some beef to lure them in.

Get to know people that know employers. That's the best way to get a job.
B-but, this degree in CS that i've been working for almost 5 years to get....

And let's not forget that unlike those other gimmicks this one is massively expensive and always will be. Therefore permanently limiting its hardware adoption rates to abysmally low numbers.
Even if it were to be cheap enough to be purchasable by the average consumer I still don't see it being anything other than a large conversational piece.
I can see some games supporting it, but I highly doubt we'll see many games (at all) that would be built around it, and that is where the issue is. Sure you can have a game that provides support for such a device, but it won't be nearly as immersive/complete as a game that is built from the ground up with it in mind. I simply don't see many developers making many games with such device(s) and like NV said (
Therefore permanently limiting its hardware adoption rates to abysmally low numbers) since there won't be many customers with the device then where is the incentive for them to develop for such a small audience?
JUST LET ME HAVE MY GODDAMN ALMOST-HOLODECK!!! STOP RUINING IT!
You need the degree because people will know other people who also have a degree.
I know that he needs the degree. I'm not saying that he doesn't. The word "but" in there implies that he either disagrees with me or thinks that his degree invalidates my advice. I want to know why.

And your point is?
I was just being sarcastic, your statement is very true, but seriously in a better world, a degree and your knowledge should be enough to land you a job, don't know at what point society got so effed up.

I'm pretty sure employers need to know more than your degree and your skill set. Like your criminal history...
Even in a better world, you'd just have better criminals :p
@Zee530
Getting a job today is a lot harder then it was getting a job in the past when our parents where younger because the demands on you has grown since then.
For example most employers out there wants you to have years of experience which is hard for many teens to have when they just graduated school but they also wants you to be relatively young so you're still attractive on the "market".
You also need to be educated and many many jobs requires an "proper" education, I myself got several bachelor degrees in the luggage in various categories. Most of which have been wasted time now that I look back at things.
But there is also rogue employers that wants to use young people for almost free labor something that wasn't that common in the past. It's definitely a tough market out there and never ever think you're irreplaceable because they can fire you're ass for nothing.
The greatest asset to have actually when getting a job is a variety of contacts. Most of my jobs have been contact based and my new job ain't an exception. And most of my contacts have been acquired by internships.
It's a sad cold world we're living in and it sucks being unemployed and I've been that enough in my days.
