They designed their games for multiple playthroughs, which meant that players were going to be bad at the game for their whole first experience with the game. It's not bad design or anything, but it's not my favorite. I was happily surprised by Astral Chain's length allowing mastery in *one* playthrough. Much more my style!
Astral chain was amazing, and dear god when I played Bayonetta 1 and 2 for the first time I was utter garbage at it but I loved those games so much I played through them several times and eventually got a complete pure platinum rank on both. Fun gameplay can go a long way but I agree, being able to grasp a game on a single play through because it's inherently well designed and made for that is always excellent. Only other game similar to Bayonetta and it's style that made me do that was Sekiro last March.
so with the world going on lockdown, is this why this plaza has gone silent? cause everyone is in quarantine ?
Plaza gone silent? I dunno about that?
Anyway, I was here to announce my retirement. Yeah, officially today I am putting up my resignation from working on texture packs. Effective immediately today.
...
...
Ok... That's obviously not going to happen, I am still going to be around and work on texture packs.
But what is going to happen is that I will be taking an extended break. Why? The outbreak obviously. I am not in the mood for textures currently.
Also... The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III did finally release on PC. Uhh... Yeah... That's probably the biggest reason for the break... I expect the game to last me quite a while.
Anyway, I hope everything goes well around here.
No matter where you guys are from. Stay safe out here.
To celebrate the 20 anniversary of Perfect Dark, I was originally planing to pick up the original Nintendo 64 title. Plus a few other games. Because of my paranoia of the virus, I decided that I would hold off purchasing anything on Ebay until the outbreak is over.
Still... IÂ got plenty of time for me to write my own personal in-development novel based on the unseen video games I look up on the internet.
Here one snapshot of an early build for Star Wars: 1313. It a shame that game never went through.
Hehe... I would love to make a new IP inspired by Perfect Dark meets The Mandalorian mini-series.
I'm still around! In fact I've been typing up another game design wall of text~ I'll put that off a bit and wait until this is quiet again.
Be safe out there everyone! And here is a picture of me and Sonicadvance's dorky little adorable cat, Gracy!
that is one cute cat....
...but does it snore?
My cat snores, and it's adorable when she does it. So soft and tiny. You have to get real close to hear it.
Over here in Illinois, we have a Stay-At-Home/Shelter-In-Place/Stay-Away-From-Me order in effect until April. I still have to work, since my job is deemed an "essential industry". Nothing to worry about (yet).
The roads are nice and empty, but on the downside the police are everywhere, writing tickets for even the smallest amount of speeding
Your opinions about "The Outsider" from HBO. As for me, it was boring and the final was awful. Only the first two episodes were good.
