Is there any benefit to matching my display's resolution to my game's resolution, i have a 1080p display, but my GPU is a 940MX, which can at best get you 30fps at 720p. If i drop my display's resolution to 720p as well, will i see any difference, whether in performance or quality?
Are we talking about emulators or about PC games? If it's the latter, I would personally try to lower the rendering resolution without dropping the screen resolution. Plenty of games have a resolution scale setting nowadays (either in-game or through config files/command line arguments), and by doing that way, you can lower the rendering resolution while still having crisp text, menus and HUD (because you didn't drop the screen resolution).
But other than that, using a resolution scaling trick vs dropping the screen resolution to the desired rendering resolution should result in the same performance...
Hello !
1. My wii has stopped reading all discs now. So should I homebrew it? I mean can I run games on it using SD card/usb.... if yes I would be really helpful if you can tell me
2. Also what is the format of games in usb loader gx/home brew .. is it .iso or .wbfs
Yes you can, but since your Wii can't read discs anymore, how are you going to dump your games?

My friend has a Wii Console which is reading all discs. So I will use his console to dump games. Also what is the format of dumped games to play using usb loader gx, is it .wbfs or .iso
Wbfs if you want to save space but loosing the update partition and junk data (it shouldn't matter, the game will still work correctly), iso if you want to have a perfect copy of your disc.
Usb Loader can read both.

Are you sure iso will work? Because someone online on reddit told me only.wbfs will work. Please clarify it and thanks
Also what is the best tool to rip Wii cd’s to .iso to play games on home brew using usb loader gx

For ripping to ISO (as opposed to ripping directly to WBFS), CleanRip is the best tool.

What do you mean opposed to? Doesn't usb loader gx need iso files of wii cd. IÂ am actually getting more confused
On my other Wii with a broken drive I use USB Loader GX to run both ISO and WBFS files without problems. You'll want a fast USB drive ideally or a external hard drive (if you get a cheap SSD and a USB adapter you can get a really good experience. It's what I use on my Wii and WiiU)
