3.2 - 2.4 = 0.8GHz difference . That's 40% performance boost !
its faaaaaaaar away from truth...
I speed up Pentium4 from 2.2 to 4.5ghz(in 2006-7)...it give minimal boost(like 10-15%)
reason is-memory speed and amount of memory on processor
every "real" program use tons of memory for operation, only few math programs do not need all time copy tons of Gb memory
its video codders(ffmpeg like), video games, web browser, 3d rendering(its not getin faster), converting files....even web servers and work with DB...
all stuck on memory
real boost from 2.4 to  3.2 maybe 5% up to 10%(because many cores)...in real applications
If you want to troll , please input a newer CPU that can support Turbo Boost
And good luck playing game on that toaster
Whenever someone says playing games on a toaster, I think of this:
Well , this is a random thread . So you can say whatever you want except $%$#&###
No hard feelings xD
You guys ever dick a man to death with his own dick?
No, I prefer to use dildos

I had Waffle House for lunch, in case that's relevant.
Just to remind everyone, while there is no topic here, the rules still apply. Carry on!

Wrong. The i7-3630QM from my laptop bumps to 3.2GHz from the base 2.4GHz in heavily multi-threaded scenarios for prolonged periods of time and it does make a big difference. And that's inside an HP laptop which is a brand known for overheat issues, although I replaced the thermal compound to amenize the problem a little. Yes, it gets pretty hot (sticks at 85~90°C) but it keeps the 3.2GHz clock regardless...
I missed Doctor Strange at the movies, and really want to watch it. What I don't want to do is pay $20 for the digital copy of the movie to watch it once. I want to rent it like I can literally every other movie they offer.
Do movie studios want to milk us for our money that badly?
