Hi Garteal
Lets just say that my new work takes a lot of the time and the time left for golf and and other fun stuff is shrinking. It may be Friday and a new weekend at hand but I got chores to do too. But if it's nice weather tomorrow I'm going to the driving range at least.
You seem to flit between ideas really quickly. A couple of days ago your new job was the best thing ever.
So apparently Mupen64Plus 2.0 (released on the 4th of July) adds support for an ARM recompiler and its main video plugin (RICE) supports OpenGL ES 2.0. That's very exciting for me for several reasons.
I'm still looking at options for an emu-console I can mod and tailor to my desires. If I went with ARM based SoCs, N64 emulation would be out of the question (mainly because of the video plugin, it doesn't use EGL 2.0) unless I went with Android as the OS (which isn't as moddable as a normal Linux distro). Now Mupen64Plus could theoretically run on my Raspberry Pi (not well though).
Before, I was considering x86 based options, since they had IGPs with out-of-the box support for regular OpenGL. But ARM SoCs cost significantly less and should perform exactly what I need (NES era to PSX/N64 era emulation). I'm thinking about an O-Droid U2, since it's not particularly expensive (even with international shipping) and it beats every other board I've looked at so far.

Don't misinterpret me here, the job is great but before I got the job I had all the time in the world to do chores (@ home), golf, whatever etc.
It only means I've grown up and got a proper life and it takes a while to getting used to. I need to plan my days accordingly now as I ain't in La La land anymore.
See it as the Stepbrothers movie when Brennan and Dale got their jobs, they became responsible adults. Now the only thing left to do is to move from my parents house to my own house whenever that's gonna happen.
@NaturalViolence
since I don't play on buying single player games, I'll choose Multiplayer FPS. (Although reccomendations for SP 3d platformer and SP Stealth FPS would be awesome
)
Have you played Halo 4? I think the conflicts and ideas proposed were really interesting. It's not a 10/10, but as far as the dialogue between Chief and Cortana, it get's pretty deep.
Not to mention the cool theory that makes sense, if an AI thought too much for too long, would it go crazy?
I played Halo 4, haven't finished it yet though, and I didn't think it was near as good as Halo one. It was close to 2 though. I'm in the process of beating 3 and 4 right now so I can't say where exactly 3 is.
@omarman, there's Team Fortress 2, you are welcome to join me, Naturalviolence, Scootaloo and ExtremeDude2 when we play. Bioshock Infinite is also a great game but it's single player.
In other news, I now have stuff on Steam that I feel obliged to try out.
I now have:
Civ V Gold
FTL
Surgeon Simulator 2013
All the Skyrim DLC
I already had:
More games than time to play them
Heh. I keep wondering if I would be able to complete all my games in my lifetime.
Beat Halo 2, now on Halo 3. It's always weird working out the mechanics for each game. Even on Legendary (which is a cake-walk on any Halo game) I always die a few times before I hit my groove.
Something got in my head yesterday that I need to start playing old Sonic games this summer. Summertime was meant for Sonic after all. That's all I did in the early 90s anyway when school was out
