Nasty sausages are nasty and nice ones are nice. Shonumi's American, so I'd be surprised if he has nice sausages readily available for a reasonable price.

You can't buy sausages in America that easily? They have so many of them here, and you can basically buy them everywhere

No really, no time for the compy anymore. Got too much to worry about now. In the past year I've lost nearly fifty to one hundred lbs not that it matters. I don't know about everyone else, is anyone following this "unhealthy" lifestyle? If so well.. shame on you.

I've quite a bit going on lately. I found out I likely have pulmonary artery disease and am at high risk for heart disease. My father recently passed away. He had pulmonary artery disease, heart disease and an enlarged heart. It went undiagnosed for so long. For several years doctors failed to diagnose him and misdiagnosed on several occasions. It's become even more important for me to eat healthier, be more active and lose weight. Before all this happened I was already going out for walks, cutting down on consumption and unhealthy food/drinks. I was getting close to 500lbs and in the last 1 1/2 years I dropped down to 361lbs.

Since my father passed away I've been spending more time with my mother and sister. Helping out with anything I can whether house work, going out shopping for everyone, pitching in my own money to help. My father was the only one that was able to drive and was bringing in income. We are trying to do what we can to come up with money for the mortgage payments, lot rent and other expenses. I may end up moving back home to support my mother and sis. My father worked so hard for everything, all our memories are here and is just too much to give up. The house is almost paid off after nearly twenty years.. I am in the process of studying for the written test so I can get my permit, learn how to drive and eventually get my license. I will be inheriting my father's car and will be used so I can drive myself, my mother and sister around for appointments, to shop and anywhere else we may need to get to. Once I've my license and can drive I'm looking for work so I can bring in a steady income and help pay for everything. If required I may need to saddle up and work a couple jobs at a time. So we all have some big, life changing events going on. I made a promise to my father that if anything were to happen to him I'd step up to take care of my mother and sister. It's what he would've wanted.

My fear of all fears was to lose any of my parents. What would I do, how would I handle or cope with it? I really don't have anyone else, not too many people have been empathetic or understanding with what I'm going through. I live a very lonely, secluded life with just family and few friends I can turn to. I was terrified of losing my parents. Now I'm faced with that reality. But.. I've held up well so far, doing better than expected. With what's to come it's going to be a real test of willpower and how I can hold up in real-world, adult scenarios. Will I persevere and excel, be able to handle the responsibility or crumble under pressure?

I'm quite literally, hurting inside. I try to hide it, I try to joke and laugh. I try to focus on other things or occupy myself with activities or anything to keep my mind busy and avoid falling into negativity and depression. I have to be strong so I can be here and take care of mom and sis. My mother is a wreck, I'm not much better however I mostly have my stuff together and am most able to handle things my mother isn't capable to. I attribute this to the fact that I actively pursued self-improvement, pursued activities to improve myself and was open to therapeutic techniques to address my debilitating anxiety, depression. Therefore even though it's still there it's under control, it's stabilized and regulated. I'm not consumed by it to the point I am devastated, crippled by it and unable to function. At any time prior to the last year I likely would've been much worse off. I've made tremendous progress over the years, more so within the last two years.

We do have high quality sausage over here. My parents buy it from time to time and make it for dinner. They're still basically telling me to make my own meal, because I still hate it

@Xtreme2damax - Sounds like a lot is going on in your life. It's terrible that you lost your father, but think of all the time you can cherish with your mother and sister in the near future. I know it's easy for an outsider to your life to be positive when you might not feel that way, but you should always start small and be thankful for what you do have. From what you said, I gather you're not in the best of places (and neither is your mother too, right?) but like you said, you've made some tremendous progress over the years.

I can relate to some of your experiences. My mom suffers from anxiety and depression, and my dad has had heart problems over the years (recently had a triple bypass earlier this year). It's hard to handle issues like this; it's just naturally difficult stuff. The important thing, I feel, is to never tackle this alone. I know it may seem corny, but honestly, the Dolphin community is here for our members. Sure, we're not face-to-face, nor do we communicate on a daily basis, but you're still someone we care about. Does it matter if it's just online? Behind this text, behind these pixels, I'm a real-life person, and I want you to have a good life. So, feel free to say whatever you need to here. Use this as an outlet if you need to.

Well yes. But then you're eating bacon every day and then you have bigger problems.


Additionally, 18% more vs what rate?


If you had a 1 in 10000000 chance to develop cancer, an 18% increase in that risk is still nothing.
