Are you sure you're looking at their DVD speed, not CD speed? CDs spin slower at 1x, so you can get a higher multiplier before they disintegrate and fill your drive with high-speed sharp plastic shards.

Kinda weird how we’ve had the dvd feature all the way till now, yet it has been outclassed for years

there probably isnt a progress report bc no major changes have been issued since the last one, so there just isnt much to talk about.

There are always changes interesting enough to make an interesting progress report if they were written up, but the team working on the progress reports are volunteers with limited time, so can't write about everything.

Being able to load different GPU drivers is really cool. Did you guys also test newer vs older official drivers? I'd imagine that is mostly about bug fixes but it would be nice if that could give a speed boost.
