Do you mean using the mouse as an IR pointer? If so, choose IR in emulated Wiimote config and set the different directions with the mouse.
I did that, however when I move the mouse in-game it goes
that direction for a split second, then returns to the center of the screen.
Is there an option to fix this?

Yo, spamming this thread with the same request over and over again isn't going to improve its chances of ever being implemented in Dolphin.

Can you explain to me what the "clearing code cache" OSD message means? If you can't, why are you even asking for that?
I think before adding many features. should let developers concentrate on fixing what interests the proper workings of the controls and the sound problems are still very present in all reviews. as graphics is where improvements in each version are noticed and no more things to add. but the sound is the most serious flaw in games and fairly high demand. I like playing with my son but at times becomes annoying audio issue in games like DKCR, NSM, MG. LLE DSP resolves some things eg DKCR sounds good but at times it slows down the audio even though the game runs full DX9 and DX10 both. I have tested with many revisions and is always the same. Super Mario Glaxy More. DSPLLE both HLE as much static is heard and I play without sound. I do not put myself in a position to demand anything developers and understand all that takes time and effort without anything in return. I speak as a person but also weapons projects and always want what should be basic work first and then the rest. I fully support the developers and I am very grateful for what they have done. and those are my orders. I sold my wii console while. family and I really enjoy the high definition emulator and I thank you forever. but I think they should bring order to be done first and that is basic. and then others that can be added. I give them a big hug for new year and as always aware of everything they do and thanks for reading no intention to offend or upset anyone clarify it. Smile
