You think overheating is the cause?

HornyBadger

Been checking out temps when using Dolphin, other emulators and some PC games.
Temps go up to 60C under full load under all scenarios, so overheating isnt it.
Everytime i reload the save the behavior is the same, independent of temperatures.

i got epona, rode through the village and then the cutscene begins with three kids in front of links treehouse.
Once i skip the cutscene i am in the treehouse in front of a window.

Whenever i move the camera the game first stops, then after a while it starts up again by constantly running through the last few frames before it stopped, over and over.

I even rolled back to an earlier driver build, to see if that changes anything, but the behavior stays the same.
Tried going from 2x resolution to native as well without any change.

5.0-12722 - Externals: Update MoltenVK to v1.1
appears to have removed the minimap when using Vulkan, at least on my system. Switching to OpenGL (deprecated in macOS) fixes it while significantly lowering performance. The minimap works correctly with Vulkan in 5.0-12720. As of 5.0-13194, the minimap is still missing with Vulkan.

The "Reduce Bloom Ghosting" Gecko code gives me a black screen and an error of which I have a picture attached. I am using Dolphin version 5.0-13217.

I'm having a problem with controls in Midnight Princess. So far, the controls on my keyboard have been working fine until I got to the combat training section. The second sword attack, the stab, doesn't seem to be working, no matter how many times I try different combos. I'm told to hold L-trigger, (which is the q key) and press up on the c-pad (which is the i key), and hit b (which is the z key). I've tried this combo over and over but I keep being told that it's not a stab. Is it my keyboard? Or am i not doing this attack correctly? I am considering buying a gamecube controller for my laptop to play this anyway.
You might have to bind the full L-analog trigger to Q as well?

Alright, I'll try that.

Ok, I tried binding the L-analog trigger to Q like you said, but I still can't do the attack. Any other ideas?

Hi everyone,

I know this thread isn't really active.
Hopefully I am correct here, since I cannot find anything else in regards of the following:
Ultrawide.

So, I know there is a dang good 16:9 Resolution Gecko code on the Dolphin Wiki.
But is there, somewhere in the world, a good 21:9 without stretching?

I wasn't able to find such a good, so I took the regular 21:9 code with massive stretching
and simply merged it with the pretty good NTSC-U 16:9 gecko code on the Wiki.

It works really well. Stretching feels like going from 4:3 to 16:9 with the old 16:9 aspect ratio code.
So the stretching is not too much, but I would like to have a comparable solution as to what's currently available on the Dolphin Wiki for 16:9 NTSC-U.

So here is the gecko code:

So my question is, is someone here able to work with Gecko Codes?
Who was the author of the 16:9 solution on the Wiki?
Where else can I ask for somekind of a support?
I don't expect people to just write it...
Every little help is really appreciated on realizing this little project.
If you have an idea, a way to guide me, let me know. :o

Thank you all. (:

Sir Malaki

Does anyone know the fix to TP [GC] grey screen freezes? I'm having that issue when collecting the final tear after defeating Twilight Bloat. When you collect the tear, the screen goes grey, you hear music, but nothing happens. It doesn't trigger the cut scene. I've tried two different systems with NO cheats; the only hack running is the Hyrule field hack. Tried with that on and off, the same thing.

System One:
Windows 10pro x64, i7-3770 in a Gigabyte H77-DS3H mobo, 32GB Hyperx Fury DDR3 1333 ram, Radeon RX570 4GB, Samsung 860 1TB SSD, Seagate 2TB sata3,

System Two:
Microsoft Surface 2 Pro, Windows 10 Pro x64, i5-4200u, 4GB ram, Intel HD4400 Graphics, 128GB SSD.

Both systems have the latest windows updates and the latest drivers. Dolphin 5.0-14122 with auto-update enable on both systems running JIT recompiler.

System one tested with OpenGL, Direct3D 11 & 12, and Vulkan

System two tested with OpenGL, Direct3D 11 & 12, crashes with Vulkan.

I've ripped my personal GC disc and tried two other images found online. All three verify as a good dump.

Backed up, cleared, and reloaded memory card files on both. Trying saved files from both on each system. System one has 14 hours into it and system two has 15.5 hours into it. Both crashing at the same point. I've exported both saves to GCI and examined them with Twilight Editor and both look the same and load backup without errors.

Love this game, guess that why I have bought it on the GC, Wii, WiiU (HD version). The GC is my favorite, mostly because it brings back memories of procrastinating on writing papers my senior year of college.

Thanks for any help,
Sir Malaki
