I seem to be getting very noticeable audio lag using either HLE or LLE. 3.0 builds had the same issue except with XAudio2 backend, which eliminated the issue for me. However, it seems XAudio2 lags now as well. The least amount of lag occurs when using LLE and XAudio2, but it's still very noticeable. Any input on this?
Define "lag". Does it happen with specific moves, or constant throughout play? Also, please define what you mean by "now", is that 3.5 or the latest development release?
I think he means that when you stay at a scrren for a long time the the audio eventually just goes away until you get to a different screen. At least that's what happens to me.
AX-HLE should have fixed all this stuff. What revision did you test?

I don't know but I know I where to get v1.02 of the game. Would that solve the issue?
Not version of the game, version of Dolphin. The 3.5 release?
The new-ax-hle merge was 3.5-78, a bit after the official 3.5 release. Try 3.5-78 or newer and see if you get still get missing audio. Haven't tested this myself yet, but that should fix this issue.

works great as far sound but some of the text that appears when I complete a level flickers. Where did you find this version? It's number makes it look like it's from the future because the latest developmental version is 3.5-397 as of today.
It goes up, not down. 3.5-78 is several weeks old. Besides, the text for 3.5-78 that he gave is a link so that you could find it...

But uh, you still haven't answered the question: What build are you using?
