Your computer should be more than powerful enough to play this game... mainly because I have the same exact laptop processor with a smaller graphics card and can play the game in single core. Please post your settings, I'm certain we can fix your issues.

Essentially the game runs fine in menus. Ive been messing around with settings and now have no sound but the game is smoother. It still goes into a slow motion like bug when i am near other characters or using b attacks.
Any way to get my sound back and have the game run smooth?

how can I upgrade my PAL version to revision2? My disc is a day one game, from 2001
There's actually utilities over on smashboards to convert ISO versions. I don't know if they work on modern Operating Systems though.
tried that... they only work for NTSC versions. PAL was planned and never released
so like what are the best possible settings for melee? I have 1920x1090 force 16:9 with widescreen hack enabled and 4x native. are there any custom hd textures or anything?
