Did you install the zdiag drivers? Do you have the latest dev build of Dolphin? Dou you have the controller section of Dolphin set to use the adapter?
Also, please fill out your profile with the specs of your computer and the Dolphin build you're using.
I'm getting audio issues in each Dolphin version that I use. I hear a popping noise in my right ear, and this happens regardless of audio backend, latency, and emulation engine.
Hello Friends!
I recently started playing Melee Netplay and it runs like a dream. I have a couple of questions to ask you guys
1) Which backend is more optimal for Melee, Direct3D 11 or 12. And while I’m at it, tell me what is the difference between Direct3D and DirectX
2) Are there any settings I can change (other than the defaults) to make Melee more optimal
3) Explain to me a little about Netplay. Is there matchmaking to play with anyone across the world, or can I only play with specific friends?
My specs: Windows 10 x64, Gtx 1080, i7 7700k 4.2 GHz, Crucial Ballistix 16gb ram
Here is where I got Melee Netplay:

Direct3D 12 doesn't exist in Dolphin anymore, so it's not really something I would recommend. But if you want to know, why not try both out and see which one gives you the best framerate? (For testing purposes, you can turn off the framerate cap by going to the config and setting Speed Limit to Unlimited).

Direct3D is a part of DirectX. When it comes to the graphics backends in Dolphin, if someone says DirectX, they pretty much mean the same thing as if they would've said Direct3D.

If you want optimal performance, use the default settings of Dolphin (NOT Faster Melee, it's slower despite its name). If you want the lowest possible latency, I suppose you should use Faster Melee with the settings that are recommended by its developers, but this isn't really something we can help you with. This forum is for support with official Dolphin, not forks like Faster Melee.

You can play with anyone across the world. Dolphin doesn't have any matchmaking on its own, but
smashladder.com offers matchmaking for the Smash games.
Hello JosJuice!
I’m glad to see a reply from an experienced user like you.
I’m not sure if Ishiiruka-Dolphin is an official version of Dolphin, so it makes sense if they don’t have the same backends. I’ve attached a pic with the backends for the Dolphin I have so that you can tell me which one is best for me. I tried experimenting between Direct3D 11 & 12, but they look identical. Same resolution and FPS, but I was wondering if there was someone in the community (like you) who knew the difference and who would know which one is best for my situation.
Thanks!

No, Ishiiruka isn't an official version of Dolphin. If you want to know which of Ishiiruka's backends you should use, you need to ask in the Ishiiruka-specific thread instead of here, since these forums have a rule about support for unofficial builds only being provided in specific threads.
I know that this is a weird question, but which Dolphin is better. The official one or Ishiiruka?
Having issues with stuttering - this has never happened to me before on this system but just started occurring after I re-downloaded Dolphin. Currently using the development build (perhaps that's the issue?) 8751.
Specs:
- Windows 10 x64
- Intel Core i7-7700 HQ (2.80 GHz, 4 Cores)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
- Kingston 16GB DDR4-2400 RAM
The game runs at 60FPS but the audio will often stutter which also causes the whole game to stop for a split-second. It's not horrible or slowing anything down but it's annoying and I'd like to figure out what's causing it, because I know for a fact it's not my hardware.
Also, on the "Stage Clear" screens it slows down to an awful 30FPS.
Are you using any gecko cheat codes?
