About the game (IGN.com)
Fox McCloud and his animal compatriots are together again in this journey through time. Unfortunately, none of the old crew is willing to hit the front lines with Fox this time around; Peppy has taken a role in mission support, Slippy has gotten into the world of research and development, while Falco has decided to launch a solo career. This means you'll have to go it alone as Fox, battling enemies, flying combative missions, making discoveries, and more. The story begins when McCloud finds a magical staff, compelling him to leave the land of Arwing to travel the world. Eventually, you'll meet up with a loopy new sidekick named Prince Tricky, learn how to ride on the backs of dinosaurs, fight enemies in hand-to-hand combat, and much more. A bold departure from earlier STAR FOX titles, Dinosaur Planet is a mixture of just about every gaming genre imaginable. Whether you're solving puzzles, mastering flight, getting into bare-knuckle brawls, or making allies, you'll have your hands full with this gargantuan title that's only available for the Nintendo Game Cube.
Emulation Status & Speed-
Issues:
(10-25-2010, 12:41 PM)Xtreme2damax Wrote: [ -> ]Reporting some issues.
- Game stutters and skips like crazy and framerate dips quite a bit, more noticeable when running at higher speeds. Other than the frequent dips and stutters I am able to run the game at full speed.
- Shadows are messed up in this game, they are really distorted sometimes depending where you walk and sometimes the wrong shadow is displayed (quantizers issue?)
- When you go to the warp stone even after the first time when you give him the rock candy, the first cutscene and audio plays for subsequent visits to the warp stone. This seems to be a core issue rather than an issue with the audio plugin, even happens with the LLE plugin.
- I can't seem to use the find command in Snowhorn Wastes to get Tricky to find the frost weeds, it simply won't let me.
- Audio issues with the HLE plugin, the music skips and misses key notes in the music, LLE plugin works fine of course.
- Graphics issues, such as flying through space there are big squares like the issue in Endless Ocean with the Bubbles and Sonic Adventure 2 when grinding.
The game seems to have quite a few core, audio and graphics issues, it's amazing that it still is able to run fine despite these issues.
Emulation Speed
- Has some weird slowdowns from time to time (check screenshots fps)
- Cutscenes are incredibly slow compared to actual gameplay
Additional Information
Emulation status may vary within the next builds, this report is from 10/25/10. Check the latest posts in this thread for more info.

I'll post some code like with Wave Race. Perhaps it will help with this game too.
This is for the NTSC version:
Code:
802461a8 0 zz_0246078_ bl ->0x802422AC (-->OSSetCurrentContext)
802461ac 0 zz_0246078_ bl ->0x80243790 (-->OSEnableInterrupts)
802461b0 0 zz_0246078_ lwz r0, -0x5358 (r13) # The game hangs in this loop, there is no jump to here, it comes to this loop from above
802461b4 0 zz_0246078_ cmplwi r0, 0
802461b8 0 zz_0246078_ beq+ ->0x802461B0
802461bc 0 zz_0246078_ bl ->0x8024377C (-->OSDisableInterrupts)
8028523c 0 HandleReverb lfsx f18,r6,r9 # Occasionally it leaves that loop and walks around in these three functions
80285240 0 HandleReverb addi r10, r10, 4
80285244 0 HandleReverb addi r9, r9, 4
8024f718 0 AIInitDMA bl ->0x8024377C
8024f71c 0 AIInitDMA lis r4, 0xCC00
8024f720 0 AIInitDMA lhz r0, 0x5030 (r4)
80251520 0 __DSPHandler bl ->0x80242474
80251524 0 __DSPHandler mr r3, r31
80251528 0 __DSPHandler bl ->0x802422AC
I don't know what's going on in the zz_0246078_ function and I could not find any nop or blr that would fix it. It calls the REQUEST AUDIO STATUS function a few times before hanging so a very very weak hunch is that there is something in the DVDInterface that is wrong. But it could just as well be anything as far as I can see.
Using R3811, Star Fox Adventures still does not work. The logwindow did give some info though:
