Approximately how much time of debugging did it take for you to find that patch? Approximately how much notes and breakpoints did you type down in the process?

The propeller takes normal damage.
How many hits should it take?

Approximately since when did it work without the 0x8004a9f8:nop?
Can someone summarize, for the technically interested, what's currently understood about the problem with this game? Was it DSP communication errors? Other errors? Update: I'll party answer my own question. It may have been a rare memory writing error not directly related to the DSP. According to the SVN Issue Page.

No notes or breakpoints, just loading game with -d and pressing randomly
"Show PC" so i got idea whats goin on.
It was 2nd NOP that worked - ~20mins.

If game is working in SC with software render then its clear that there is a
FIFO problem.

If you don't own the actual hardware, tough luck as you will need to dump these yourself, these are just as illegal to download as games and other copyrighted code.

If I could I would, but copyrights prevent me from doing this. The thread I posted explains how you can dump these files from your Wii, not sure about dumping them from a Gamecube as the posted tool seems to only be for the Wii.

According to the SVN Issue Page.
I fixed the JITIL ble instruction in r4723. This instruction is mentioned in the issue you've linked to. I'm not sure if that is what helped fix it.
I am hearing that this game suffers from a FIFO problem.
