It seems this thread needs some more activity!

Here is the SMG I've been going through on Ishiiruka and I think it's quite beautiful. I can take more that are more cinematic-y if anybody thinks they look nice. They are some I was using for comparison screenshots that I posted in Ishiiruka's thread.

Internal res is 6x (I play with 3x), 8x AA, 16x AF, CDAMJC's texture pack, per-pixel lighting, and tweaked IshiirukaFX post-processing effects. I turned bloom down quite a bit because I am not a fan at how it can make light sources as bright as the sun. It's there, just much more for ambient effect, and the colors are much more vibrant than default. I really like it.

Ok, my first at posting actual gameplay screenies so bear with me if I don't have high end rigs with fancy graphic cards capable of 4k images.


I present you Metroid Prime using stable 4.0.2. I like to roam around the planet and chill by my spaceship. Nothing fancy, these were taken using internal res 2x. I'll post some more showing off the wide-screen hack when I get a chance.

This is a screenshot of The Wind Waker downsampled from 10K to 1440p. It includes Hypatia's high resolution texture pack and a 16:9 aspect-correct HUD.

When in doubt, add more K! Because what's diminishing returns anyways?

Since no one seems to notice what happens on the Screenshots page on the main site, and there's no way to access the glorious source PNGs for regular users; every time I update it from now on I plan to post about it here! I'll jump right in and show the changes from the past couple of months!

That banding on Luigi's hat. But thanks for keeping everything sparkling MaJoR! And yes I personally did notice the scrollbar becoming larger and larger.

I updated the SMG2 screenshot to something I liked a little better back then, but it was never changed ;p. Perhaps you can do so if you like it better than what's there now?

Oooo, that's nice! SO much better than what's there now. I definitely am going to use that! ...and it's familiar. Obviously I went through these before, since many of the shots you linked to are on the site already, and I remember seeing that one, but I have no idea why it's not on the site. Oops?

Anyway, that reminds me, I need to go through this thread again and pick out any gems. But it's hard for me to check this thread on dialup when users are posting 4k screenshots. *cough cough* The next time I'm on highspeed I'll make sure to look through it again!

I recently started with Super Mario Galaxy 2. Easily the best Mario game I ever played! The level design is brilliant.

And I used to play Skyward Sword a couple months ago, I enjoyed it a lot, but I never finished it. Maybe after I beat Galaxy 2...

Dolphin is great. It's simply awesome to play these games in 1080p.
