Hi, all.

I am using the VC version of Ocarina of time (NAC). When I use the widescreen code in the zip file from the first post, everything seems to work fine, things look to have the correct aspect ratio, and Link is in the center of the screen with the widescreen hack turned off and stretching the screen to 16:9. However, in the two outdoor areas with pre-rendered backgrounds, just outside the temple of time, the background goes into 4:3 aspect ratio, although the non-background elements remain correct. Additionally, some 3D model gibberish shows up behind the background.

Is this known problem with the code?
Are there other code alternatives for NAC? I've tried codes for other versions (Collector's Edition and Master Quest) but they don't work properly for VC.

First of all, codes only works for the version they are made for (region and disc), so using a code made for a different region or disc does not work on the same version. If it is purely Ocarina of Time you want to optimize, you should look into the Master Quest disc which both has the Normal Quest and Master Quest variants. Keep in mind that most codes are made for NTSC-U since that is the most popular language. There aren't that many codes for the OoT VC version yet, and are a bit outdated. The VC version has no codes for Double Damage Received, 30 FPS or Extended Draw Distance for example. Should you happen to have the Master Quest disc, try this code below.

It is important through to disable the Widescreen hack and that you leave the Aspect Ratio at either 16:9 or Stretch to Window.

Well... As for the NTSC-U VC version. I assume you currently use this code? It is the latest so far, you should ask gamemasterplc if he could fix that version.

Sadly, I am not a good AR or Gecko coder. For anything AR or Gecko related, darkludx and gamemasterplc are kings!
I did use the code specifically for VC but it sounds like I would be better off using Master Quest or Collector's edition. My original OOT save file is from the Master Quest disc but I had extracted it to play the VC version instead.
