Widescreen Development Topic

This thread was created because of a dislike for 4:3 being stretched to 16:9.
This is where all widescreen hack development should be, where you can find a widescreen archive, and where widescreen requests can be made.

What about Dolphin's built-in widescreen hack?
Dolphin's built in widescreen hack usually works, but for many games, there are often issues related to disappearing objects and geometry on the left and right side of the screen. This is known as "culling" and they require "render fixes". For an example of this, go to 5:00 of this video.

Aaaand time to add the unofficial tag.

Why's that necessary? I don't see a single other topic in this entire sub-forum with an 'unofficial' tag.

What does 'unofficial' even mean?
Please refresh! I was typing up an explanation.
Good to see other people are interested in this kind of topic aswell, or else i would have created a thread of the likes sooner or later.
Now let me contribute with some information that i was be able to gather so far.

This link contains infos about why the widescreen-hack in dolphin often is not enough and objects dissapear on the sides. It has to do with "culling" which is wrongfully named "clipping" in most Nintendo games.

Next up are some info's on how to patch the .iso directly to support 16:9 on start-up LINK

And finally on how to make your own 16:9 code

I might contribute with some newly formated wall of text if these links are not enough. Let me know what you think about these links so far.
Whatever. I'll change the language a little then.

There DOES need to be a go-to place to request and development widescreen hacks.

So far, there isn't one, just a collection of different posts from various sites.
Would be worth to include those too.

Here are some ar codes found on Occulus VR website that someone made for culling problem (objects that disappear on the edges of the screen) when playing Metroid Prime 1 and 2 in 16:9 mode.

Again, please note that those are for disable the culling, you also need to use Widescreen Hack from dolphin.

Can I request a hack for Pokemon Colosseum NTSC-J? We have working hacks for NTSC-U and PAL, but I really need one for NTSC-J.

Added. Smile

Because the Dolphin Wiki admins are difficult and it's not worth pursuing, I decided that I'm going to create my own independent text archive instead. I'm having issues upload it as a .rar here, so I might have to mirror it at the PCSX2 forums instead.
Would it be possible to request a 16:9 Widescreen code for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Master Quest?
The collector's edition version already has a 16:9 Widescreen Render Fix Gecko code, this version does not.
The game disc contains both the standard Ocarina of Time and Master Quest editions.
