Maybe this won't fix your problem, but I kept getting a black screen because I had anistropic filtering and stuff up too high. Maybe that will help?
oh the thing is, im trying to run it on my laptop

2.0 ghz dual core intel
intel gma 965 graphics
Is there a way to tone down the settings to make it run melee?

First at all, it's really hard to rip an iso from gamecube:
you must have, if i remember well, a toshiba dvd ... or something similar with appropriate drivers.
If you have it, you need a software capable to rip raw disc...like Rawdump or something like this one.
Otherway i think is impossible to rip an iso from gc or wii.
In order to have a legal copy of your game, just download the version of your original disc (if you are in europe, download the pal format, otherway the ntsc)
You may use wireless connection of your Wii to make .isos from original discs. Both GC & Wii. But if you have only GC... try googling
..."sometimes".... you can make the wii read the gc disc...and use wii as suggested by nosound97
what settings can i do to increase fps?
you have an intel graphics card? Those wont work right
my laptop has intel , my desktop has 8400 nvidia

i was playing melee on time mode, how come everything in the game runs so slow . like 1 second takes like actually 2 seconds in real time to go by
PAL SSBM works perfectly!
only random crashes which happens around every 2+ hours!
Appart from that, no slowdown, No Troubles, nearly 100% complete!
Hey all
I've just started playing melee on dolphin and I'm really liking it, runs great.
I just don't have the patience to play for however many thousands of hours required to unlock everything, also I can't even complete classic mode without the video freezing.
So does anyone have a 100% complete save game file with everything unlocked?
