About the game (IGN.com)
Utilizing the unique powers of the Nintendo Wii system, Retro Studios once again takes us to the beyond with bounty Hunter Samus Aran.
The Galactic Federation's Base Sector Zero is under attack by Space Pirates. Samus must boot up the generator to restore the defense systems. But at the end of her path, someone awful is waiting for her. The war initiated by Dark Samus and the Space Pirates rages across many planets as they attempt to corrupt each with Phazon seeds. Players use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to explore alien landscapes, hunt for weapons and information, and destroy the seeds. Saving the planets from Corruption isn't enough, though. Eventually, players must take down Samus' mortal enemy, Dark Samus. Besides using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to pull off amazing feats like aiming and blasting in midair or at a full run, players also will have an array of different weapons at their disposal.

Emulation Status & Speed
  • Issues:
  • Turn on "Copy EFB to ram" to scan objects.
  • Right-Click on MP3, go to Properties and select "FIFO BP Hack" to avoid a crash when launching the game.

    Emulation Speed
  • The game requires a very good CPU, though it's not that demanding as it's looking like :p

Additional Information
I've got to mention that this game crashes randomly. Not often, but sometimes...

Hi I have a really odd bug to report for this game.. about in the middle of the screen, there's always 3 green pixels when you walk around, sometimes they are flickering and black in cutscenes. It only for this game, OpenGL plugin.
Scanning doesn't work, so it's not playable yet. Just FYI

Ah, thanks, forgot too add it Smile
Yes indeed, scanner doesn't work. You may remember I uploaded a bunh of wii saves, topic on the second page of support, anyway I'm considering getting a save for MP3 at the first savepoint, after the little door opener thingy where you need the scanner. However I'm not sure if the scanner is needed on many other occasions, like if you need it soon after again, it would be pretty pointless. Anyone remember this? I'll probably make the save next time I've got time anyway, but would be good to know.

The NTSC Version of MP3's scanner DOES WORK. Setting EFB copy to RAM fixes it. However saving in this game appears fubared and freezes the emu.

Saving also doesn't work? Oh well, we'll have to wait I guess then. There's always the save from the pirate homewolrd and Norion, found in the old forum (Or get unconverted from gamefaqs)
lol use save states Tongue
Yeah, but they're kinda unstable, aren't they? Or have they improved lately?
I don't really know. They work for me in some games. But, yes, they can eventually be broken.
