Hi,
I'm a new Dolphin user and I am trying to get Paper mario 2 with as high speed as possible, but my rig s not the best, so I was wondering a couple of things:
1. Is there any particular configuration tips(besides disabling hacks and activating dual core) or Dolphin builds to get the game to run faster ( i ve seen it at 100%), even at the expense of video quality(I.E frame skipping or such)
2. Does the emulator run faster on linux?
My stats are the following:
2GB Ram
Intel Core 2 Duo T7300( 2.0 Ghz)
Nvidia 8600M GT 256Mb
Is it even possible to run the game well with my equipment?

1. Well, if you really want some increase, you may disable sound. That would give you some fps.
But even on my Core2Duo E8400 I don't get fullspeed without overclocking. But try to disable "Threaded Optimization" in Nvidia-Panel, that may give you a good boost. Beside of that: Older Revisions are more fast, but have more issues (with older Revisions I mean somewhere between 22XX and 29XX).
2. I don't think so. I'm not sure, but I don't think so.
I'm not quite sure of your CPU (isn't TXXXX a mark for Laptops?), but you may run Paper Mario 2 well (not fullspeeed, but well). Overclocking might help a bit.
Sorry to interrupt But Paper Mario on a T7300 shouldnt be a problem!
Search your game in the Game Index thread for the best config .

I meant that T followed by any number (XXXX = any number for C2Ds) stands for a Laptop-CPU... but I'm not sure, as I said...

I'm in a laptop, by the way, is that a bad thing? i read about the overheating problem, but I ususally solve that with a fan software and keeping my laptop on top of an open drawer(but of in this case ofcourse overclocking is out of the question unfortunately). is there anything else which should be bad with a laptop?
Tried looking for the game thread index, but on the perfect dolphin list there s nothing mentionned about config, and the thread ofcourse, redirects me here

Oh, and concerning the sound, do you think disabling the music ingame would increase the performance? i d still like to keep the sounds
nothing's wrong with a laptop but there usually not as powerful.

On a more serious note you should of read the rules before posting which state any discussion pertaining to warez is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to asking where to download games, posting links to copyrighted materials to or telling others where to obtain copyrighted materials, found to be in possession of illegally obtained copyrighted material when posting for support.
You should of also took note to the part in the rules that state if anyone posts for support and is in possession of warez, posts links to warez or sites that contain wares or ask where to obtain copyrighted material illegally will instantly be perma-banned.
