What do you guys think? From what I understand the CPU is only SLIGHTLY less powerful than the 4670k and I've seen a few dolphin videos on YT running dolphin on a 3750k just fine at full speeds.

Though if the 4670k is necessary to run games at full speeds then I'll definitely settle for it.

A 4670K is only slightly faster in most applications but in dolphin it is significantly faster (20-30%) for only $25 more. It makes no sense to get an ivy bridge cpu at this point.

In Dolphin Wind Waker Benchmark , i5 4670k is a whole lot faster than i5 3570k . You have to OC i5 3570k to 4.4GHz to beat i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz
Intel HD 4600 is almost 2 times as fast as Intel HD 4000 . Intel HD 4000 can handle 1x or 1.5x Internal Res (~480p) which is crap

Pretty much the same stuff except it includes rockclimb15's build with some extra ram. Grand Total that includes shipping and warranties comes out to be $1,085.33, which I could possibly afford by the end of this month.

If it's a good build for what I'm looking for, then I'll probably stick with it unless there's some special daily deal at newegg for a similar/better combo or something like that that I could buy.

How much extra were the warranties? I typically don't buy extra warranties from Newegg. Usually the manufacturer warrants the parts sufficiently.

About $140 for this build, but obviously the prices of the warranties go up as the price of the product goes up, but yeah, I could afford a bit more if I don't buy the extra warranties (maybe even a better GPU!). I guess I never really bothered to check what the manufacture warranties for the products (I guess I should probably get on that).

Also, I like the fact that the warranties cover accidental damage as well, having a warranty like that seems very useful to me, but if the manufacture warranty already covers that, then I guess I shouldn't really worry about the extra ones.

They don't typically cover accidental damage, but how would you accidentally damage your desktop components? I wouldn't spring for $140 extra personally. I've never had an item die shortly outside of manufacturer warranty except an external hard drive, which are notoriously bad.

I've never had a component die in under 3 years. Extra warranty is pointless.
