What with being sick I decided to use this time to play this game from start to finish on Dolphin. Sadly, I am unable to even play for more than a few minutes because my XBOX 360 controller starts to stutter Link around and pressing any of the action buttons is like holding down Turbo Fire.

The really odd quirk is that this is the only game (Wii or GC) that this happens with. I am using the XBOX 360 plugin if that makes a difference. Anyone have any solutions to this problem?
Controller seems to work okay for me :S
Is it an X360 controler, and if so how long did you try for? It starts up a few minutes into the game and then fades, but comes back again.
Sorry, I'm not using X360 controller, but similar Logitech Rumblepad and everything seems to work ok. Maybe it's X360 only :S
Well, that is why I need help silly. I would like to know if this is a X360 problem or a Windows 7 one. Perhaps it is my control. HALP!!!

Well, i am on windows xp and i have the same problem with a x360 controller. So its not a windows 7 problem.
I also have the problem when using the keyboard.
Lastly, all the Links appear to be black, and the hearth meter also has some graphical glitches.
Is there any way to solve this?

Enable "Use safe texture cache" in the graphics plugin

I'm also having issues with my wired 360 controller and can't open up the big door that you need to hold R to pull down on the second level...it's a really weird bug but I'm sure it's related to issues with the 360 driver. I'll seek out an alternative later on when I have time.

Any "stuttering" or "turbo" problems seem to be related to idle skipping, turning it off at certain points will help you get past those spots you get stuck... but without it you loose game speed (not framerate) when you do it.

Also set EFB copy to real not hack, it will help keep it from being as bad when idle skip is on.

And a warning, don't turn on OSD hotkeys unless you want a black box over the top left of the screen.

P.S. When I maximize (not fullscreen) i get about 70-80% fps/~60 and it seems to stop the turbo effect from idle skip
Thank you guys for confirming. I was starting to think my XBOX360 controller was starting to die on me. Smile
