Have you tried it in regular Dolphin too? Ishiiruka questions are supposed to go in the Ishiiruka thread.

It does run smoother somehow in the long run but has some massive stutters when a new map or something is loaded. Anyway thanks for the suggestion, it's at least enjoyable like that! What I was aiming for was to use a texture pack and a filter, since I thought that the normal graphics doesn't look even close to what I was using on Twilight Princess And of course I was posting in the Ishiiruka thread too, I was just a bit concerned since the latest post was a while ago 12-20-2016, 07:12 PM
If you're having stutters, try enabling "preload custom textures". This will remove texture-related stutters, but note that preloading requires a lot of memory. (For the SS HD texture pack, 8GB should be enough.)

Hi, I'm an emulation newbie, and I'm interested in messing around with Skyward Sword on my laptop with just a keyboard. I already have this game on my Wii, so there's no sense using a wii remote imo. Dolphin 5.0 seems to has an option for translating keyboard strokes to Wiimotes, but I can't get past the opening screen, where it asks me to plug in the nunchuk. Is there any way to bypass this screen? Even if I can't get very far in the game without a Wii Remote, I'd like to at least mess around with the opening.
If the answer is no, than is it possible/practical to download an earlier version of Dolphin to run just this game, and is it possible to have both versions of Dolphin on one computer? I apologize if this has been asked before. I saw a few questions like this on here, but I never found a concrete answer for whether its impossible to get passed this connect-nunchuk screen, or if you can and its just impossible to beat the game with it. I'm using Dolphin 5.0, on Windows 10 Home on a Surface Pro 4 with a 2.40 GHz Intel i5-6500U CPU (x64), 4GB RAM, Intel HD graphics 520. Thanks for the help!
No. Even if you did manage to get past the "connect a Nunchuk" screen (which is possible simply by setting the extension to Nunchuk in the emulated Wiimote settings), you need a real Motion Plus to even get to the title screen. Save yourself the trouble and use your real remote.

I'm in the ranelle desert now and when I try to enter the pirate's hideout, the Screen goes black, like I can move and I see the HUD, hear the sounds and all, but the map is just black so I can't tell where I'm walking :/ Do you ever heard of such a thing @JosJuice ? Because I couldn't find any other similar postto this with google search.. So far I'll be trying out older builds Edit: I've solved the black screen/black overlayissue(or however you want to call it) by using the stable Dolphin 3.5 Version! The game ran quiet great despite the release date of the version 01-06-2017, 07:35 AM
I've been trying to play Skyward Sword. But its running slower than pondwater and stuttering massively. Even at native resolution. AF and AA all at the lowest settings. I have the latest dev build (5.0-1656) and all the suggested options ticked and unticked in graphic settings. Changing audio settings does nothing.
CPU: i7-6700, GPU: GTX 750ti, 8 GB ram. Do I need a GTX 1080 for any hope of running at full speed? 01-06-2017, 07:40 AM
No, when my laptop with a weak GPU plays it at full speed at 2x-3x IR. Sounds like something is wrong with your setup; have you tried a portable build?
Download the latest dev build, and create a file named "portable.txt" next to Dolphin.exe (assuming you're using Windows). Then launch Dolphin, don't touch any settings and start the game. Does it run better? 01-06-2017, 08:58 AM
Putting the portable txt file in cleared out everything in my dolphin. Couldn't make it past the Wiimote connect screen. Taking the file back out restored everything. It ran fine after that at 2x. But it was on my 1440x900 monitor and not my 1080 tv. Could it be something with the resolution?

Found the problem. Oddly enough, I found restarting my computer completely fixed it. Any reason for this? I have no idea why.
