I also have the scan issue in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
The game doesn't let me scan various objects (some of them vital to progress in the game) and I needed to switch to OpenGL backend to scan those specific objects.
But the OpenGL backend also has a very annoying problem:
If you fire Samus' main weapon for a long period of time (10 seconds or more I think) the cannon starts making a "heat" effect that last for 5 seconds more or less. That effect causes a huge FPS drop, sometimes falling to 25-30 FPS while the heat effect is showing.
does anyone has this same issue?
