Hi guys,
Just booted this up for the first time, and on the main menu for selecting which of the trilogy I want to play, the wiimote emulation is off. I can't reach the top or bottom of the screen depending on whether the sensor bar is set to 'top' or 'bottom', and the cursor in-game moves at a different speed to my mouse pointer. I tried playing around with the sensitivity to no luck, it's never anywhere near the right speed and position. Obviously this stops me from playing the game at all, so if anyone has any ideas what might be causing the issue, please pipe up. All my specs should be available somewhere since I entered them when I registered (this is my first post, so I don't know if they'll come up as a sig or whatever). Thanks in advance if anyone can help. 06-28-2013, 11:07 AM
There is a width and height setting in the Wiimote Configuration. Have a play with these settings until the pointer reaches the edges of the screen.
For the position and speed, it is difficult to make it line up with the mouse pointer. What I do is to hide the mouse pointer using the Dolphin option and rely on the on-screen pointer. 07-07-2013, 05:13 PM
Metroid Prime 2, can't use scan visor, tried COPY EFB RAM/TEXTURE, makes no difference.
What's up with the wording on the wiki? "Visors Scanner/Visors will only work if EFB to Ram is enabled. However, EFB to Ram is set as default within the game INI, preventing the user from using anything but EFB to Ram for this game." So in proper english translation "This game in it's current state is unplayable"? My visor is red/pink by default, trying to set it to RAM makes it worse. Is there a solution to this problem? Is there anything I can change here to improve performance? I'm using DSP HLE, DSP on dedicated thread, OpenAL, if I use anything else on this game, the audio stutters too much. I can now scan in metroid prime 2, but this build have made the game run a little worse. Also have a black bar in the bottom of the screen, cutting off a little of the HUD. I read this link: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Metroid_Prime_2:_Echoes_(GC)#Black_Bar_and_Severe_Stutters "PAL users can disable "EuRGB60 Mode (PAL60)" in the Wii settings to prevent this issue." Doesn't work for me. The black bar is not a dealbreaker for me. But the slowdowns are though. The audio get's pretty bad when I shoot with heavy projectiles or face large enemies, is there a way to fix this? 07-07-2013, 08:14 PM
Quote:I'm using DSP HLE, DSP on dedicated thread, OpenAL, if I use anything else on this game, the audio stutters too much. You have to be able to run the game fullspeed or audio will stutter. This game is extremely demanding, fortunately you have an overclocked Core i5 3570K. Buuut, even with that there will be some areas where drops occur. You are playing one of the hardest to emulate games Dolphin can run, and one of the glitchiest. Keep your expectations grounded. Also, don't use OpenAL. It's a bit weird on windows. Use Xaudio2. DSP HLE and DSP on dedicated thread should be fine, but you'll have to ignore the weird reverb. Quote:"PAL users can disable "EuRGB60 Mode (PAL60)" in the Wii settings to prevent this issue." Are you playing NTSC or PAL? That trick doesn't work with NTSC. Unfortunately, there is no solution for that right now. The black bar issue has been present for pretty much forever. So unless going with PAL, you're pretty screwed. I've been waiting years for this game to become playable, and it's had massive improvements in the past few months. In 3.0 everything was purple and funky. In 3.5 you couldn't boot games in Trilogy. Even in 3.5-367, which you played, it would have random crashes. Things are improving. Just, takes time. Anyway, if you are on PAL and it still doesn't work, that would be very interesting. ![]() AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 22H2

Everytime I engage in combat with more than 5 enemies the game drops frames or it seems like it (slower fps, audio). It's too bad because this is one of the few games I really think looks very good in 1080p, not to mention mouse+kb works very well.Quote:I'm using DSP HLE, DSP on dedicated thread, OpenAL, if I use anything else on this game, the audio stutters too much. I will come back later on and see if things have improved with future svns. I took your advice with the audio settings and the sound is improved not so much lag anymore, thank you ![]() Have a nice weekend. 07-29-2013, 05:24 PM
On dolphin older versions (3.0-159) the game runs 80-100% at 56fps
but It crashes when I try to load the games. ![]() On the newest revision(3.5-367), I only get 20 fps which is really slow. Why is this happening? Hope there is a fix in the future. My specs: amd 8 core gtx 550 ti |
