Thanks for the kind words, going to tinker around with NX powerlite (as per Kayael's recommendation) and see if I can get the size down for everyone.  No ETA (it's going to be a while) because of a bunch of stuff going on at the moment - graphics card died, dicking around with 2 other upscale projects, and diving back into the Borderlands 1 remaster

I wish I had better news for you in regards to Eternal Darkness (because I love that game), but the upscale has become a bit of a nightmare. Some of the upscaled textures look gorgeous while others seem to look ok until you load them up in game, at which point they look super gross because of the bump mapping or something (things like statues and other stuff with wrapped textures).  It's going to take a lot of work to get that pack in a better state and I don't have any idea how long it will take at the moment.  Fingers crossed I'll have an update with some good news, but I'm just not sure right now

spent the last few days fast tracking PNG compression so I could get out an update ASAP... nx powerlite is pretty mediocre, but a PNG/JPG compression utility called pinga provides great compression with almost no loss in quality (visual comparisons and some data on the compressions can be found here). I've gone ahead and created a compressed PNG pack and added a new link in the main post. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the DDS pack, which remains its current size.

the new PNG pack has been tested and seems to be essentially identical to the old PNG pack. I'll keep both download links for now, but will eventually phase out the larger pack when I need more space on my mega drive.

As usual, if anyone finds any problems, please post them here

The size of download for the DDS pack is too large for a free Mega account, can you eventually split it in multi-part ? I'm donwloading the compressed PNG (seems to be at the bandwidth limit), I'll give it a try a share my thoughts once it's done Smile

free accounts get something like 5gb per 12 or 24 hours... if you cap out, the download can be resumed when the limit resets

no time to repack and reupload at the moment, but I'll add it to the list

you should be using the DDS pack unless you have a build that doesn't support it
