It can be fixed but not right now . Thanks for considering it. Again, the color enhancement generally looks good; that sky is really the only texture I see an issue with. (Incidentally, I use this calibration tool: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/all_tests.php ) 05-21-2014, 09:25 AM

So, have you finished the pack then? And if so.... does someone want to up a NTSC version of the new pack?
indeed, this is beautiful. how can we go about getting this set up for NTSC version? this pack at 60hz would be heavenly.
thanks for all your hard work! *edit* looking at both this DDS version and the older NTSC png version, it looks like it's just a small matter of changing the game id code on all the files to match the NTSC version. should be a piece of cake to get this running for the NTSC version. i'll give it a go when i get the chance. *edit2* yep! got it to work, no problem! just a quick batch rename and we're good! thanks! 07-02-2014, 02:37 AM

Yep, just use the Any Game ID Converter in my sig and you are good to go. PS: You need to rename all dds to png 1st (use the dds to png.bat) and then run "NameConverter.exe" put "RSFE7U" there and rename all (START), now run png to dds.bat, and don't forget to rename the folder to "RSFE7U"

Hey there everyone. I cannot seem to be able to load these textures with Dolphin 4.0.2 x64 from official website, I got the RSFE7U version of the game. I did use the Any game ID converter and all the tools all files are correctly named and back to dds format but still they do not load. Tried all possible settings... any tips? Thanks.
Also huge thanks to @hyperspeed for working on this. Looks really great man. Bravo! EDIT: Got this to work! The culprit was Texture Cache, I had it set to safe for the Hypatia's Wind Waker HD pack, cranked it up to fast and everything works fine now! Again huge thanks for your superb work man, IT LOOKS AMAZING :OOOOOOOOOOO 10-03-2014, 09:24 AM
Thanks to hyperspeed's converter tool I was able to finally see this pack in motion and it does look amazing; it's surprising how much detail was waiting to be unveiled in the original textures, it almost looks like it was HD to start with. I do have some criticisms about the seams, though... background textures often have clearly visible borders that don't appear in the game normally. Is there any simple batch action that could address this, or would it require editing on a texture by texture basis? https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5600/1542...a307_o.png
I also still tend to think that it's a little heavily saturated. Here's a comparison: Original: https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3931/1542...40a0_o.png 2x HQ: https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3931/1542...f624_o.png The yellow/orange gets a little overbearing in this area and there doesn't seem to be as much variety in the tones of the sky or the wheat as a result. Just my opinion of course, and it's certainly a great improvement over the default textures as it is, but I'd like to see the colors reined in a little closer to the original visuals. Hopefully that doesn't come off as rude, just constructive criticism. |
