Any Game ID Converter only work with .png files and the files included in this pack are in .dds format.  Sad

Then use a batch converter to convert them to .png first? there are a lot of freeware converters from .dds to .png and back just googel it, you should be able to convert them use the tool and then convert them back to dds without a quality loss as far as i know.

Here's an upload of this pack specifically for NA region (RSFE7U).  The PAL version has some different text files that won't load in the NTSC version, so I dumped the NA files and gave them the same basic upscaling process outlined in the OP.

The mermaid segment's textures were also missing from the pack, so I dumped them and gave them the upscale treatment as well:
OG texture:  https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5711/20916524946_ffc3cf4c93_o.png
upscaled:      https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5723/20933013002_16f58f93ec_o.png

There were also occasionally textures that were broken by the upscale process, most notably a backdrop in the mountain areas that had huge black bars running across it.  Wherever possible, I tried to dump the texture over and rescale it more subtly to get a similar result without the glitch, but in the cases where nothing worked I just omitted the texture from the pack.  Some of the effects textures- like smoke, fog, light beams, etc- became very blotchy and pixelated after the sharpening, which led to these effects looking rougher and blotchier than the original textures.  In some cases I smoothed the upscaled texture out (this made a big improvement in the steam and water animations in the hot springs), but in cases where it really wasn't necessary to upscale in the first place I just omitted the texture.

I just finished a playthrough with both characters so the pack should be glitch free now.  All the filenames are also converted to the new format and any duplicates leftover were deleted.

7-zip pack:
RSFE7U.7z.001
RSFE7U.7z.002
RSFE7U.7z.003

Quite a late bump but I'm hoping someone might help me.

I'm using the NTSC version and Nerrel's textures (the link he posted 2 posts before mine), the latest Dolphin version and I can't get the textures to work.

I tried changing the Texture Cache Accuracy from Safe to Fast and back, they still won't load.

My folder placement looks like this:
C:\Users\Me\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\RSFE7U

All the textures are in that folder in .dss format.

I made sure the game ID is RSFE7U.

Any ideas?

Many thanks for keeping this pack alive and available to us NA users, Nerrel!

I went through the files and the UI buttons in Muramasa were always needlessly complicated, so I have created, clean, HD-ready buttons for the Nunchuck, Classic and Gamecube controller schemes:

Requires:
- Dolphin
- a "Muramasa: The Demon Blade" ISO (RSFE7U, the North American Edition)
- an existing installation of Nerrel's Scaled-up Muramasa Textures: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-2xhq-muramasa-the-demon-blade-texture-pack-pal-release-05-20-2014?pid=384904#pid384904

In the Dolphin User directory's \Load\Textures\RSFE7U folder:
- Overwrite the original tex1_256x128_2bd9591b5e5a68c0_fc54a6f5c5ef126a_9.dds file with the included one.

If you are also using Dangerism's 2X Momohime Project pack:
- Replace the corresponding "zd13\UI\tex1_256x128_2bd9591b5e5a68c0_fc54a6f5c5ef126a_9.png" file with the file from this zip.

Waw, nice to know people are still playing this game and working on improvements. Sadly I'm currently refocusing on PPSSPP texture pack creation at the moment, perhaps will revisit Muramasa someday.
