Is it worth waiting for Intel's i5? The thing is, I want to buy a new PC that works great with Dolphin and PCSX2 and also for gaming, video editting and music production. Since I got a mainstream budget I cannot afford a i7 920 (mainly because of the mobo), is it worth waiting for the i5 or should I go with the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition? When is it actually releasing?

Thank you!

personally i would go with the phenom II because ive only heard bad things about the i5.

Like? :o
i5 are already Out , what are you waiting for ?

Supported chipsets are P57 H57 and Q57 ... SOCKET LGA 1156 !
Prices play an important role, and remember to carefully choose your i5 if you do, some don't come with hyperthreading or some other options.
will there be other lga 1156 cpus in near future ?

in my opinion, 750/860/870 dont look so good...

750 doesn't got hyperthreading for no reason and 860 is already very expensive, even more then 920. (well board costs more for 920)
660 at 3.33Ghz(dual core )220 euros
670 at 3.46Ghz(dual core)300 euros
650 at 3.2Ghz(dual core)200 euros

750 are Quads
Way expensive.
That is indeed expensive. Hmm, I need to think about this. Oh, and here in The Netherlands the i5 is not out yet I think. But yea the i5 Dual Cores would rock Dolphin right?
euros?
