Hi there!

This is my very first time here so I hope I'm giving enough information as not to break the rules https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/images/sm...ecided.gif

The problem: Until about two weeks ago I could play Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Melee, Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario, Twilight Princess and Emblem of fire without any problems at all. Then I installed Mario Power Tennis and there was this graphic problems about missing parts like uncomplete shadows and elements of the game (sorry about my lack of vocabulary in this field), so I looked for some tutorials (here and on youtube) and played with the settings, but I think I ruined it because now I can't play Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Melee, Mario Party 7 (installed later) nor Mario Power Tennis (the others were finished and deleted) at normal speed. Mario Tennis and Super Smash Bros start at normal speed until I'm playing, then the characters move reaaaaaly sloooow. Mario Sunshine goes slowly from the beginning. I guess it's something I touched https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/images/sm...tongue.gif

Specs:
Asus laptop.
Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU@2.00 GHz.
Memory RAM: 4,00 GB
Windows 7 x64

The settings are the very same ones from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/settings/. And yes, I have tried solving the problem by myself, as I said before, by looking for tutorials, but no settings fit mine.

If by "installed" you mean "downloaded" then you did break the rules. They can't endorse that kind of stuff else Nintendo will be all up in their butt over it. 1st rule of piracy; never admit to it.

And you, Kazumi'Zorah, should read the forum rules again:
Quote:We're not investigating/searching for reasons to ban. Asking too many questions, like, "where did you get the game", is none of your business. Not knowing how to dump a game is not an admission of guilt. If you mention downloading, you get banned. If you don't mention it, nothing happens, we then all assume you own the game. Do not harass forum users or report them unless they admit to downloading illegal content.

Now back on topic, please.

I know and it was in no way an attempt to gain admission of guilt. I was simply pointing at the danger sign ahead, just in case Wink
You got a slow CPU there, but anyway it should be enough for most games mentioned. And DONĀ“T look for YT tutorials since most of the time it can wreck things instead of helping (yes, I have experience on that).

Post your settings as screenshots, please. And which build you used?

If they are the exact same then try changing the backend from OpenGL, and if you changed the build go back to the previous one to see if that fixes it. If all else fails post your actual settings.

So I've changed from OpenGL as you suggested into Direct 3D but nothing changed, I think that Mario Sunshine went even a bit slower. Anyway, I'm attaching the screenshots.

Isn't there any way to reset the Dolphin settings to the default ones?

BTW, are you the same people from http://www. shall not be named/configuration-explanation.html?

Sorry, I forgot to say that I downloaded the stable version Dolphin 4.0.2.

Delete the files and re-download. Try the latest build from https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ if you don't find a solution here.

Yes.. Well, not me, I just add server load.

shall not be named is the old Dolphin website.

Going by your settings the advice I can give is to change fullscreen resolution from Auto to 640x480 as I believe auto renders to your monitor's resolution and your hardware isn't up for it I'm afraid.

I've tried reinstalling the emulator twice but nothing happens. :'(

Sorry mate, but changing the resolution hasn't helped either... The funny thing is that two weeks ago I could play it and suddenly everything's a mess. Should I wait for a new release?

I don't know anything more you can do but I'm hardly he smartest here so maybe someone else will. New releases come out annually (more or less) but dev builds come out once a day or more; they fix old problems but can introduce new ones. I stick to them personally. Upgrading your hardware would also solve the problem if you're willing to.
