Hello.
My english is not very good, but i'll try to do my best.
After some search in this forums, it looks like this software can be run on a Mac. But i have to "build" it myself. I have no experience in this. No one here can share an already builded app for Mac ?
Thank you.
Hello Soner,
have you read the Wiki entry on Mac OS/X compilation? You can visit it here:
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/wiki/MacOSX_Build
If running or building Dolphin yourself doesn't work, you can run the Windows version on OS/X using Darwine:
Code:
1) Go to and read http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/Installing
2) Get a binary package from http://thisismyinter.net/Files/Darwine/Leopard/Installers/
3) Install DirectX using Darwine
4) Play.
Let us know how it turned out.
if you dont want to build it, the easiest thing to do would be to buy crossover (
www.codeweavers.com) and use the dolphin win32 build
as far as i no, it goes as fast maybe even faster than the normal windows build but u also need to download directx 9 and install it into crossover
same compatibility but some plugins dont work
GL - works
DX9 - No
HLE Dsound - yes
HLE NullSound - yes
njoy - dont know, never tried
event pad - no
pad - yes
wiimote - yes
you can play wii and gc games with this
hope this helps
(works with all revs)

Darwine doesnt work for me. Is it better?
Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM
Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.6
ATI Radeon HD 2600
Is there some kind of taboo about sharing a Mac Os build? I can use darwin or Crossover or any other tool to use a windows build, but is it too much to ask if someone could share a Mac binary? (I'm not being sarcastic as I don't know how hard this is)
Why dont you compile it yourself? I dont think it's much harder than on windows and I compile them myself.
@ Mushroomkid8:
I wouldn't know, as I don't come near Mac OS/X (or Windows). But for Linux, Wine (of which Darwine is the Mac OS/X port) does the job - it has almost full DirectX support, I can run games like Unreal Tournament 3, Warhammer Online and Neverwinter Nights 2 with it.
Also, buying Crossover is a bad idea, as it is just Wine - but with expensive 'support' added. Keep commerce out of Linux, I say.

do you mean that you were able to use a real wiimote with dolphin in crossover?
Okay, I'll compile it myself and post the results.

Doesn't work for build 2815; al.h and alc.h not found.
And yes, I have the mentioned dependancies and also portaudio, which is not mentioned, but appears to be a dependancy...

Doesn't work with build 2815: can't find al.h and alc.h and if I find them myself, corservices error. I do have all cgtoolkit, sdl and portaudio.

Nope, doesn't work. Installing directx with Trix doesn't work and Dolphin launches, but can't load iso.
Any chance of a Mac downloadable precompiled binary, like there are for windows and linux?
Yea installing directx9 using darwine and trix doesn't work:
err:module:attach_process_dlls "gdi32.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\windows\\system32\\cmd.exe" failed, status c0000005
wine cmd.exe /c echo '%ProgramFiles%' returned empty string
I've downloaded so much shit for dolphin to work and it still doest even compile. A word of caution to any mac users: Don't bother with dolphin on Mac. It won't work; you will end up downloading a whole shitload of things and it wont do anything but take space up.
