Is this emu still limited to dual core functionality, or are there plans/developments for quad core support?

I got a corei7 system, and i'm aiming for resident evil series support (zero+1).

I run Resi 1 past week, and i was getting 5-25 fps...

And you probably run opengl plugin, have efb-> ram enabled etc..

Come on, all the info (including whether 4-core support will be added - the answer is no, has been attempted and wont be happening) can be found on the forum within a minute of searching.

Okay guys, i'm sorry that i made you angry, i guess i was just looking for a quick response.

BTW since each system is unique, running different components and such, which article do i need to read so that i can tweak mine for best performance?
Still dual core... for now.

And forever.
Q: Will Dolphin support Quad Core?
A: You cannot force the emulated CPU to use more cores, Dolphin uses cores for the CPU and GPU threads, and other parts could be thrown onto other cores but multi-thread management is more a fuss and makes the program more complicated.

Dolphin will probably NEVER take advantage of 4 cores. I hope I am wrong.
Come on, the Gamecube / Wii has only ONE core. So you can not take advantage of FOUR cores to emulate ONE core. There is one core for the CPU threads and other core for the GPU threads. Maybe someday the make another thread for the Wiimote emulation, who knows.

I don't think anyone is mad, it's just that these questions literally pop up every day by new users.

Anyways, here is a rudimentary guide that gives advice on settings:

It's far from perfect but it will guide you in the right direction Smile
How PCSX2 devs got a "Multi thread" with only 48xx revisions?

Congratulations @cottonvibes +9999999 for this almost impossible work(I think I should say this on PCSX2 Forum not hereBig Grin)

It is possible, dolphin get a "Multi thread", soon?

I hope cxbx / dxbx or any other Xbox emulator, get a great progress, like Dolphin and PCSX2.

Ah yes, here the 1st PlayStation 3 emulator (disassembler now)

Is it more easy, to emulate the PS3 than the Xbox1?

Definitely not. Xbox emulators don't get much attention because most Xbox games have a PC version.
Pcsx2 project is at least 2 years older than Dolphin, and is nowhere as active in developing terms. Good thing they've implemented multi-threading, but I don't know if that kind of rewrite is possible with wii/gc architecture.
