Man, that's a good patch, but the game crashed a lot a little before and after the first fight with the metal face (mostly in cutscenes). I've used the NTSC version (SX4E01) on latest Ishiruuka and 200% overclock on dolphin. Any help?
My specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 x64 Processor/CPU: intel I7 3770 3.4 Ghz Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB Memory/RAM: 16 GB Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 5.0-xxxx X64 (always the latest) and the latest Ishiiruka for custom textures. I'm still learning english. Please, be patient with me. And, if i make a mistake, please correct me, i will learn a lot this way! Could you check the synchronize GPU thread option in the games properties like this? Option1: Option2: If both options don't help. Could you describe the error more precise. Do you get an error message? if so what does it say? Does the audio keep playing? etc. Edit: Also you don't have to put CPU overclock to 200%. You can just keep it at 100% . You could try to go a little above are below and see if you get a small performance gain but 100% should be fine.
I have added UltraHD versions of the Controller + Tutorial packs. These should only benefit users with 4k monitors. The tutorials were originally remade at 2x the size of the original textures because they are fairly large already and cover the span needed at 1080p. I can only guess they lose quality at 4k resolution, hence these higher quality versions. The UltraHD buttons and tutorials are waifu2x upscales + small edits of the previous custom textures using various settings to get the best possible results. DDS is uploaded, PNG will be up in a few hours.

No error message appeared (panic handlers are on) the image of the game froze but the music worked fine. Strangely, my Dump have about 8.5 GB but after the patch, it have about 6.5 GB. I will try put overclock to 130% to 150% to see if get better. The error ocurred right after the battle at colony 9 when Shulk and Reyn about (insert character name here) death and what dunbam said.

After rebuilding the ISO the game automatically gets compressed. The game has about 2gb of empty space on the disc. Anyway, I've encountered a similar crash in the past (at the entrance of Tephra Cave and then looking at the commercial district) and enabling Synchronize GPU thread fixed it for me. So what I'm going to do is send my configurations. I know this is not really a fix but I need to be sure that this is dolphin related, but backup your settings first so you can easily revert to your settings later on !!! Could you try these: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d90rya0jfrx2qx...g.rar?dl=1 Just copy these files into "Your Dolphin Path"/Dolphin emulator/Config See if that is any good. 02-04-2017, 04:28 AM
That dump sounds bad... Dual-layer Wii discs should be 7.93GB uncompressed.

Explain how he can still load the game just fine. It only freezes at certain situations which is caused by the CPU/GPU being overloaded due to the increased draw-distance. GPUsync should solve it like it did in my case. I still don't know why it won't work for him though... 02-04-2017, 02:39 PM

Oh dear, it seems I didn't make it before a new version of the HD pack was uploaded. I'm not very active on the dolphin forums in general, but I wanted to bring up a long-standing issue with one texture that was either improperly dumped, or possibly was an issue with the way dolphin worked way-back-when. The texture in question is tex1_128x128_cc50c831bdbf23a5_14, which is located in the Hair_Faces folder. This texture is for the mask that Melia wears after she separates from the party in Alcamoth and undertakes the trial in the High Entia Tomb. I wanted to get some in-game screenshots for comparison, but unfortunately I don't have a save file at that point in the game right now, but here's a comparison of the texture included in version 8.0 of the pack and the texture I dumped a few months ago:
Texture Comparison For whatever reason, the pack texture doesn't have the elements on the left side of the texture I dumped, which fill in ornamentation on the mask in-game. With the pack texture, there is instead a dark blotch on the forehead portion of the mask because the texture is somehow missing those elements. I'm not much of an artist, but I ran the texture I dumped through waifu2x, and did some additional detailing/smoothing. I ended up with a 512x512 texture for my own use, but feel free to resize it and use it if you like: Upscaled Melia's Mask dds and png included in the archive And just a final note, I noticed that the majority of face and hair textures in the Hair_Faces folder seem to just be the original dumped textures at their original 128x128 size, which I suppose is fine if no one ever got around to upscaling them (except for this one bizarre issue I found). I tend to be a bit long winded, but I hope my post proves useful. Once again, thanks to everyone that has, and still, contributes to this texture pack. |
