Anyway, I've encountered a similar crash in the past (at the entrance of Tephra Cave and then looking at the commercial district) and enabling Synchronize GPU thread fixed it for me. So what I'm going to do is send my configurations. I know this is not really a fix but I need to be sure that this is dolphin related, but backup your settings first so you can easily revert to your settings later on !!! I will try as soon is i can, but this week iwill very busy with work and college. Next week i will give you a response

Was bored. Made a barrel.
Spoiler: Also made it more woody and a little less shiny/plasticy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ http://www.filedropper.com/colony9barrel 02-10-2017, 11:19 AM

Thanks! Was my first retexture in like 6 months, decided to go with something nobody even pays attention to
There are two parts I'd like to fix when I get around to it, but no rush really. 02-10-2017, 09:34 PM

So, i tried as promised and it looks the crash gone away with Direct x 11 + Bounding Box on GPU. I need furter testing to confirm that, but is a high probability to be that.

Works well on my end with the GPU sync using Directx11. I look forward to having the rest of the game patched, it is pretty stunning. 02-20-2017, 01:49 AM
Version 8.1 is out!
A major change is that there are no more Super/UltraHD environment packs. All of the best quality textures can now be found in the Core Pack. If you don't think your system can run the highest quality textures, there is also a "Light" version of the Core Pack (4x original resolution) that is more or less the old Core Pack. I may eventually make some modifications and allow some exceptions to some textures. If you have a decent system, I really do suggest trying the DDS Core pack first. Although this brings about more work in the long run, and a lot more data to upload, it should be easier for users to only have to pick a single download if they want the best quality or best performance without having to worry about downloading additional packs. The exception of course, being the controller + tutorials packs. Many PNG textures have been fixed, several of them did not load in-game (DDS pack was fine). I also fixed a few textures that had bad aspects, removed a few duplicates, fixed a few textures with dynamic mipmaps that should not have had additional levels, and some environment textures that had transparency where they shouldn't have. I also fixed the wall around trees in Colony 6 to have a proper texture, and replaced the dirt paths once again in Colony 6 (3 textures in total) because there were obvious glitches where the paths meet and the dirt didn't match between the dirt and grass/dirt so the transition was bad. And last but not least, tossed in the new barrel texture by frozenwings. All packs except the full sized PNG pack is up, that one will take a few more hours. |
