I think it's impossible to get 60fps in all areas in SMG. Maybe constant 50-55 if you have very powerful system, and 60 when you are zoomed in or in galaxies with few enemies and star bits. It will almost always drop when there is much activity and textures on screen.
This game takes a lot of system resources to run correctly. 02-17-2010, 09:10 AM
So I'm having a problem I can't seem to get past. Every time I fight King Kaliente in the 3rd level of the 1st planet, the game crashes. It starts giving me all these crazy EFB errors, etc, and there's nothing else I can do. I've tried both EFB copy to RAM/Texture, and it happens on both. I've tried the 2nd planet and I can get through those levels, and the first 2 levels of the first planet ran with no problems. It ONLY messes up after I've fought Kaliente for a minute or two. Suggestions?

I've tried both SVN 4986 and the newest Orleans build. And it always happens at the EXACT same time, after I knock his crown off and he gets ready to fire again. It says something like "FBManager Fail: Failed to create Color Texture" and then some other similar stuff.

I am happy to tell you the solution is simple: Turn to OpenGL plugin for the boss (on dx9 it will hang during the animation), and after you beat him & save, turn back to directx9 plugin. 02-17-2010, 07:20 PM
